We had originally booked another agriturismo down the road, but they cancelled due to electrical issues 5 days before our stay. They helped us make new arrangements for this place. We stayed here for three nights at the beginning of our 10 days in Sicily. We arrived on Friday evening (Good Friday) and were greeted with a glass of wine.... More

This agriturismo is 2.5 km off the Segesta exit on the A29. Very pleasant proprietor who not only offered us a welcome glass (bottle, actually) of wine, but then heaped the table with cheeses, meats, crackers, olives...basically enough snacks that we might not have needed dinner. There is a good restaurant here too, but it was closed because the proprietor... More

Good location to explore local sights. Rooms decorated in traditional decor and have amenities. The breakfast consisted of fresh fruit and pastries and the restaurant offered local cuisine. Pool on property is open to paying public customers.

Great place, great food, great people. We were treated really well. Very good location to visit western sicily by car. Staff and owners very nice people. Children really enjoyed staying here. They were entertained by the dogs and the cat living here and by the staff that were so nice and happy to have them around. A must to go... More

My wife and I, just returned from a 5 day stay at Pocoroba. The place is very relaxing, with modest and spacious rooms, or apartments. There is also quite a big pool, and a large terrace on the roof, with sofas, from where you can watch sunrise and sunset. The food is plentyfull and authentic Sicilian. But above all, the... More

We stopped here for lunch after visiting the Greek temple at Segesta. It is a lovely property, nice pool. The main attraction however is the authentic Sicilian food. Family style, multi course meals that will not leave you disappointed. The owner and his parents are very charming people, they certainly gave us a flavour of Sicilian hospitality.... Made us feel... It was nice to stay with Giuseppe and his parents! One really does get the feel that you are staying on a real live farm. The pool is great - large and clean - and the residence is about 15 minutes to Castlemare del Golfo which is worth a visit. The only disappointing thing was the breakfast - it needs... More

The room was simple but nice and clean, and the food was incredible. This was my favorite dinner during our 3 weeks in Italy. The antipasto had a huge variety of delicious Sicilian dishes featuring fresh, local ingredients. The owner was delightfully friendly and helpful.

We had a short stop for lunch at this agriturismo and ordered starters, main dishes and desserts. We enjoyed a lot the starters which were very rustic and typical of the region. The main dishes (pasta with ragu, grilled meats, risotto with pumpkin sauce and sausages) were done well. We had desserts (cassatelle) which were tasty. The only problem we... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
"Baglio" is a typical Sicilian farmhouse with an ancient heritage and Bagilo Pocoroba was established in 1883. Comprising a lovely country estate set amongst rolling hills, we're blessed by limpid blue skies and a warm embracing Sicilian sun almost all year round. Today my family and I live and work in this enchanted place, continuing the noble traditions of our forefathers. At Baglio Pocoroba you'll be immersed in nature, surrounded by 30 hectares of olive trees, orchards, vineyards and vegetable gardens. Organic red and white wines, jams, honey, fruits and figs are all produced on the estate. As are fresh bread and cakes that we bake daily for breakfast. Our ancient Sicilian traditions are important to us. We want you to enjoy the culture, food and hospitality of our forefathers and the beautiful Island of Sicily. A stay a Bagio Pocoroba is rich with diverse activities. Pick your own tomatoes, figs, courgettes, aubergines, pears and apricots. A visit to our museum of traditional farm implements provides a fascinating eduction of ancient agricultural techniques and just over the hill is the ancient ruins of Segesta. Close by are the beautiful seaside towns of Scopello and San Vito Locapo, the ancient hill top town of Erice. Our nicely furnished bedrooms and apartments have comfortable accommodation and all have bathrooms en suite. Baglio Pocoroba also boasts a swimming pool where you can while away the hours gazing at the gently rolling hills and enjoying the birdsong. Welcome to Bagio Pocoroba. Relax, unwind, eat and enjoy the vita Siciliana. Agriturismo Baglio Pocoroba ... more   less
