We were looking for a retreat that had more depth then a 4 star hotel yoga retreat with some asana, but still with good living standards. Swan absolutely met our requirements and more. It had a sense of calmness and there you could explore within in a lovely atmosphere. It felt like living in a small village and the program...

My week at the SWAN Yoga Retreat was interesting, challenging, inspiring and enjoyable in equal measure. Not being one of life's early risers, I wasn't sure about starting each day with meditation at 6am but it proved to be a beneficial start to the day. There were two Asana sessions daily carried out by two teachers who took slightly different...

Almost 3 weeks back I stayed in Swan. SWAN is the place I think of then I get upset, sad or distracted. It brings happiness and peace to me, and I'm not exaggerating. I was lucky to meet so many amazing and interesting people there. The place itself is just quite calm germ in the middle of crazy Goa life....

We have spent two weeks at Swan Yoga Goa and we loved it! The Swan team are native teachers, highly educated in yogic science. They are very passionate about yogic knowledge and tradition. We enjoyed asana and pranayama practise. However Swan offers a range of yogic techniques that go beyond asana, such as yogic concentration techniques, guided yogic sleep (nidra),...

Swan is like a little peace of heaven on Earth. We lived in a small house. The beds were comfy and the room was clean and felt homey. Some unexpected pets like the frog in the toilet and a spider made it all the more charming! :D The fig icecream and chai tea at the bar by the fake beach...

Having recently returned from a week-long stay at Swan Yoga, as a solo female traveller from London, I thought it important to leave a fair review of my experience at the retreat. Prior to departure, I like many others, was blown away by the overwhelmingly positive reviews on Trip Advisor and arrived with only the highest expectations. First I will...

With the oversaturation of yoga retreats in Goa, i seeked for an authentic yogic experience. Most yoga retreats are run by westerners and coming to SWAN they felt like a big family and I already felt like home. I did the Ayurvedic yoga retreat over Christmas and it was a really nice home away from home, especially being away from...

My advice: 1) Arrive on a Friday as the program starts early on Saturday morning, 2) Stay for two weeks so you can really feel the effect of the immersion experience in body, mind and spirit, 3) Keep a journal, taking time for genuine self-reflection is what yoga is all about: how are you sleeping, eating, feeling, dreaming, thinking… it...

Pros - Nimya gives excellent massages and is fantastic with the customers. They should consider doing beauty treatments e.g. pedicures too, as I think customers would really like that? - Great, healthy, vegetarian food- very tasty - Great guests and plenty of time to get to know eachother - Felt very safe (could leave my door unlocked) - Provided mosquito...

Being older and a total beginner, I was somewhat hesitant to attend a yoga retreat. I soon discovered this was not a problem at Swan - their yoga classes are designed for all levels. Sheejal is such a great teacher it seemed like the 90 minutes would fly by.  I would leave class feeling so relaxed even though I knew...
