I had difficulty booking a hotel between Gairloch and Thurso so had to choose this hotel. I decided due to the remote location to book for accommodation and dinner for my wife and I for a price of £195. This really pushed the boat out so expected a cracking 4 course meal as promised. Room was comfortable and hotel staff...

Had a very nice one night stay , as visiting a friend in the area, Ken is a great host made to feel very welcome, the best homemade shortbread I have had. Everything you need in room, very peaceful, would have liked to have stayed longer, will be back.

We booked two months in advance, looking for two nights. All Ken could give me was one night, which we took. We were going to Handa Island, and this is an excellent location to get there from. Ken met us at the door, however, from our emails, I felt I already knew him. Lovely room, view out over the town,...

Not really a guest house but, rather, a b and b. Ken, the host is cordial and friendly - very welcoming- and full of good advice. His wife us an excelkent cook. On arrival we were greeted with delicous home made shortbread biscuits, and the breakfast was superb. Room, bed and shower were a bit small, but the hospitality was...

Only one night here on our 500 trip. Ken is a genial host and the room (we had one of the top floor ones) was very comfortable. We elected to have dinner, which was pleasant but not spectacular. We had both expected something more local, but as we noted there are not many shops in Scourie nor for many miles...

When you stay with hosts, Ken and Madeline you are welcomed not as guests, but as members of their extended family. Ken is a genial host who provides much of the front of house duties, and is a wealth of information about the local area. Madeline on the other hand provides beautiful meals that extend from not only breakfast, but...

This is not a guest house but the most friendly B&B. Great room and Ken very helpful and friendly. The views are over looking the sea and breakfast was the best on the route 500 round Scotland. I would stay here again no problem the hotel down the road makes having s beer and food easy and not far away.

From a lovely warm welcome, rooms all with sea views, use of a conservatory for our exclusive use, again with sea view this lovely B and B just got better and better. Breakfast with locally sourced ingredients was fantastic, scrambled eggs as close to perfect as you can get. Would definitely stay here again and recommend.

What a nice Guest House, Ken and Madeline were perfect hosts. There were homemade biscuits on arrival in our room and the room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious, I had the porridge with home made stewed rhubarb, the bread was home made and we were also offered home made soda bread. We had our...
