The cottage has a fantastic view, set on a peaceful lane near Bettyhill. The hostess is an ex-chef and provided a superb breakfast - there is also an option to book an evening meal which we would recommend highly. Lesley gave us a friendly welcome & entertained us with lots of fascinating tales. We had a very comfortable night's stay.

What a truly amazing host!! From opening the door we were made welcome, shown to the house kitchen table where we were offered a cuppa and a friendly chat. Lesley was really funny and lovely. My husband was ill during our visit and Lesley rang her own GP to arrange an appointment (the GP was excellent as well). We cannot...

We were greeted by Lesley and invited in for a cup of tea, she treated us like your best neighbour would and we immediately felt at home. Our room was a delight...so cosy with the best view. In the shower room we were greeted by the little wooden bear holding the loo roll...we couldn't stop smiling!!! Lesley kindly cooked us...

Stayed here for the penultimate night on an End to End cycle ride. Lesley, the owner is a very friendly attentive host. I felt more like an invited guest than a paying punter! I also had an excellent meal cooked for me in the evening. My en-suite room was very clean and tastefully furnished, whilst my bike was stored safely...

Owner Miss Leslie Austin blows you away with her stories. she is a entertainer and a very good cook. The beds are a bit small and also the room is not very big but it has everything you need. You have got a nice view from the garden. Overall a nice place to stay.

Cottage is in a lovely location. Very nice comfortable room, although slightly disconcerting not to have a lock on the door. Lesley happy to chat over a cup of tea. We were told what time breakfast would be and there was no flexibility with this.We had pre arranged an evening meal which was nice and plentiful. Breakfast was good although...

Me and my husband spent just one night in Lesley's B&B but we felt that feeling like you won't go away! She's amazing and an excellent cook, she prepared us a vegetarian omelette for breakfast and home made musli! The room was lovely and comfortable like the whole place, we arrived late in the evening so we couldn't enjoy a...

These are the holidays we love. Pretty coastlines with few people to spoil them, empty roads, lovely scenery and a nice guest house to go back to. We ate every night bar one, with Lesley the owner making A1 cuisine. The one night we did not, we ate at a great local high-end restaurant with lovely specialist fare to behold....

I did not like the idea of sleeping with my bedroom unlocked and the hostess coming Into the room, turning on the lights and close the curtains while I'm having dinner In the nice restaurant nearby... Anyway stunning location, warm and very friendly welcoming .

I feel i do not need anyone's permission to enter a room in my own house. Nor do i feel the need to justify why if I do. The reason why you found your room warm is, when the temperature dropped in the evening whilst you were out, i went into the rooms and put up the heating. I also...
