- Didier Lassarat

Disgusting customer service. During the course of booking the room, the price change from 473 for two nights (as shown on booking.com and their website) to 684 EUR. I had confirmed the reservation via email and then they sent me a message to say the price had gone up... Really, really disappointing

Dear Sir We are really sorry to read that you have been disappointed by our customer service. Indeed, we really care for our customer satisfaction. Please be aware that you were unlucky enough to see the price of your room rise significantly in a trice. Our prices are settled according to the vacancies left : the less vacancy we have, the higher is the budget. We are even more sadened by your comment than we took a some time to send you exlusive and dedicated pictures of the room you wanted to book. Moreover we would like to remind you that we offered a special and exceptional discount for your stay. We will be more than happy to welcome you back again in our premises so that you can change your mind and realize that our customer service is professional and efficient. Best regards

More a hotel than a B&B/gîte, this place is amazing. The amount of money spent in doing this up must have been enormous. 15 rooms spread around different chalets and buildings on a very vast domain. Pool, spa, massage, tennis, horses, bicycles and a very special wood burning sauna located near a small pond (you really need to try it). Sitting areas all the over the place. You can spend an hour walking the domain. There is a restaurant but for evening dinner you need to reserve in advance, and for lunch it’s sandwich and salad time. A charger for electric vehicles would be very welcome.

Lovely hotel with very welcoming staff. We rented chalet and 1 room. Charming rooms, comfy beds, clean ... Food delicious in particular breakfast. Nice spa, good massage. We rent electric bike to cycle to Etretat, nice 20mn ride. Best of the best, the property has amazing garden, horse, goat, ... so much flower 🌸 I really recommend this place 2h away from Paris. What a great gate away!

Though Les Pins de Cesar doesn't market itself to bicyclists, they should consider it. Placed in the midst of small farm roads quite near Etretat and the coast with its famous white cliffs (the Alabaster Coast), this hotel was a remarkable find for us in our 2 week riding trip in Normandy. There is a fine set of "bike paths" around the region - really quiet rural roads well marked with "Presence de Cyclists" that are marvelous, with numerous villages and towns to visit along the way, in the cool (often overcast) weather. Les Pins de Cesar is connected to those roads, and we found drivers very courteous with a minimum of delivery trucks (until approaching Etretat). And when you return to Les Pins after a nice, exhausting day of riding, you come back to a full spa with sauna, massage, a pool and hot tub, plus home-made cooking in their very elegant main building (reserve ahead for dinner). AND they don't mind if you bring a low-cost bottle of your own wine or "cidre". (Also - they give a generous breakfast of meats & cheeses & breads that can be taken off to your day of adventures...) One most pleasing aspect was their willingness for us to build our bikes in a spare, accessible conference room, and stow them next to their own set of borrowable cruiser bikes. We felt this hotel served as a true retreat - so quiet and serene. And we loved open windows over night leading to immense birdsong in the morning... easily 12 different birds were chatting. (No garbage trucks, sirens, chatter of later partiers.) Perfect. Decor - antique yet updated, with rich paint colors, a tad dark and in need of more lighting, but entirely gorgeous and fascinating.
