When we arrived, we were warmly greeted by the same staff that recognized my voice. Impressive!
It was a last minute booking as the accommodation we previously booked was so horrible that we were forced to leave almost immediately without a place to stay.
To our very pleasant surprise, Niseko Price is a ski-in/out hotel and even has a ski equipment rental shop, nice restaurant, souvenir shop, tour desk and a charming bar.
Our room is very clean and quiet and has a beautiful view of the ski slope - a nice bonus.
The staff are always very polite and helpful. They provided all kinds of useful information even though a few of them did not speak English very well.
This hotel is just besides the ski slopes and very convenient for beginner & intermediate skiers.
Did I mention onsen? This hotel has a decent onsen facility and is free for hotel guests. It’s good for the muscles after a day of skiing.
The outside of this hotel is rather unassuming, but its interior, especially the rooms are great.
All in all a fabulous stay which greatly enhanced our skiing experience.

Onsen is closed from 10:30am to 1:30pm but I was able to enter at 9:30am and was the only female using the facility. Baths are small but very nice, the outdoor one has an excellent view in winter.
Cost is ¥1000 + and extra ¥200 for a towel if needed.

My husband and I recently spent 5 nights at the Prince Hirafutei. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. In particular, I left an article in our room when we checked out, and Kato-san went well out of his way to ship the article to me at our hotel in Sapporo. The onsen was spacious with multiple bath options and clean, well equipped locker rooms. The location is very convenient for ski-in and ski-out. The exterior of the building looks a little ‘tired’, but I would not hesitate to stay there again given the very positive attitude of the staff and the great location.

The hotel is old, but some rooms are renovated. Take care, that you get those rooms, because the old ones are just horrible. There is a big onsen inside and outside, with a sauna. The breakfast is Japanese style with a wide selection of food. The staff is helpful, but do not expect services for laundry etc.

The rooms with a private onsen are great. Very comfortable bedding. Quiet. Bedroom cleaning only every three days so everything gets pretty dusty. Great location. Nice views over the slopes, which are just right there. We didn’t use the dining options because there was no clarity on times and menu. No room service.

As this hotel is a ryokan it offers a more traditional Japanese experience than many other hotels in this resort yet it also caters for Western preferences. There are a variety of room styles. We chose the Japanese/western which has the tatami matting etc but western style beds. We opted for the private onsen on our enclosed balcony. We have always enjoyed the onsen experience in Japan but this time chose the private onsen which was convenient for using it often. The hotels main onsen is excellent I have been told. As usual in a Japanese room there is a challenge with storage but we coped. (There is an excellent ski and boot locker system on the floor near the slopes.) Rooms are warm (adjust your own heating) and very clean. The most expensive rooms face Mt. Yotei but we choose to face the ski slope. As Mt Yotei is seldom visible because of cloud we felt we had the best option as there is always something to look at on the ski slope including the night skiing till 8.30. If you book dinner on any or all nights before you arrive, it is only about 2,000 yen, half the normal price. The buffet dinner has a large variety of Japanese and western style foods, all fresh and tasty. We loved the sashimi, sushi and tempura. The staff are exceptionally helpful if you want to try the Japanese food and not sure what goes with what. The buffet breakfast is also a very good mix of Japanese and Western. The hotel is ski-in and ski-out which is so convenient. No dealing with buses and walking. The Family Chair is just close and takes you up to the next set of chairs etc. Reception staff were very helpful and spoke sufficient English for our needs. The hotel was a little more expensive than I had originally planned but savings can be made by not choosing the private onsen. The good value buffet meals and ski-in, ski-out are worthwhile considerations. Not sure about wifi costs but ours was free. There is a laundry. They offer ski passes and ski hire however we hired from NBS, just opposite the Family Chair. NBS offers ski lessons (affiliated with Ski Japan) but there are other good options too. NAC offers lessons and has a new kids school with their own mountain for beginner kids. There are good eating options around. We had very good crepes and cappuccino at the Creperie - Niseko Supply Co., great cocktails at The Barn, and excellent Japanese food and great value at Niseko Rin. (I have tripadvisor entries on all three restaurants). I would stay at the Prince - Hirafutei if coming again. Highly recommend.

This is my first time in Niseko Prince hotel. When I checked in, I thought my room had the private onsen. Unfortunately it wasn't and I was sorely disappointed. According to the website, it boasts about the private onsen rooms and hence I was looking forward to my stay.
So I tried to request for a onsen room and I had spoke with Mr. Endo. I have travelled around and I must say Mr. Endo is one of the worst guest relations officer I have ever encountered. When I spoke to him, he was unapproachable and unfriendly. Request to upgrade the room was flatly rejected and told me alll rooms were fully booked. When I reuqested to speak to the manager, a flat no was given. No more help was rendered thereafter.
As I booked through Japanican, I had to seek help from them. The assistance I have gotten from them was way much better than the hotel.
Another unpleasant incident with Mr Endo was with the coin laundry. As my wife wanted to use the washer and it had other guest's laundry (cycle had completed), request to clear the launry was, again flatly rejected and told my wife to wait. On the previous day, similar request to other guest relations officer was met with ease and smile.
The hotel is dated but expected. But even being slightly old, with a good service provided, it would exude a certain charm. But unfortunately not this case.

Niseko is not the usual Japanese experience (because of the unusually low number of actual Japanese tourists) but we knew this when we booked out holidays at this hotel 6 months ago in June 2012. Of all the hotels here in Niseko, this was the closest we thought would be the Japanese experience, mainly because of the well known onsen baths here at this hotel (hot spring baths).
We are a family of 6, with your children ranging between 6 and 17, and we had to split out family into two tripple rooms (meaning sleeps three, but officially a maximum of 4 people in a triple room). My wife found this place to be the highest recommended place to stay for a family who have never skied before. We are totally happy with this recommendation and we highly recommend other families to stay here. We booked a room with a private onsen bath, but we probably would not do this next time as only two people out of 6 have used this facility over the last three days (out of total 6 days stay). After a long day of skiing it's great just to join the crowd down at the communal onsen which has a section that is an outside bath that looks over the family ski run and the hills. Absolutely SPECTACULAR views from the male onsen of the ski runs, and the female onsen looks over to the large volcano to the east. This hot spring bath experience is so good that many people from outside of this hotel come especially to enjoy the bath here. I personally cannot get enough of it and many Aussie males come in to the bath with a can of cold Sapporo beer and enjoy the relaxing views. Even if you do not stay in this hotel, this experience is a must when you come to Niseko!
(One cultural note that I must make is that don't be shocked that if a female member of the hotel cleaning staff comes in while you are cleaning your 'member' in the onsen! ;-) It shocked the day lights out of my 11 year old son, but that's quite acceptable in Japan. Female cleaning staff will also barge into the male toilets to clean while you may be standing at the urinals as well, but don't be shocked at this. This type of thing happens in Japanese hotels, including this one.)
The breakfast is so so, with the variety not so exciting, but okay. There is a selection of western and Japanes food, but the western choices are somewhat short, but still good. We 've not used the evening meal experience as the restaurants in Niseko are top notch, so we cannot comment.
The staff at the front desk are really helpful and most can speak a bit of English to get by. Wifi is 1200 yen a day, and whilst it did not connect to an iphone/ipad, the staff sorted this out, which we were really happy with.
The only thing that we didn't know about is that the bus that brought us from the airport to the Niseko welcome centre will just let us off at the centre and we did not have a lift to the hotel. We didn't know that the hotel was only about 300m down the road. We had to take two taxi rides which cost us about $12 which we could have avoided.
Alsp it's good to know that you can forgo cleaning and bed making if you want and credit that money towards spending money at the small shop in the lobby. We chose to let the ladies do their thing as we have to get Japanese beds made up.
If you want a real Japanese hotel experience, be sure to get a Japanes room. You get to sleep in the floor, which kids just love, and having a communal onsen bath just makes it that much special! I would skip the private onsen as it is really not needed.
This is a perfect hotel for the family with novice ski and snow boarding experience. The hotel is located just next to the family/beginners' run and ski rental is just down at the ski lift. Ski storage is just a walk up from the ski lifts. The climate is dry in Niseko and snow is powder all the time. The best snow combined with best onsen experience, is a true winner! I'd like to definitely come back again.

Well the outlook of the hotel itself probably does not deserve 5 star, BUT the facilities, arcade for kids or teenager, Tennis table, Especially SUPERB ONSEN for only ¥800 per entry is to die for !! Oh did I mention indoor and OUTdoor Onsen overlooking the family ski slope !!! Top notch babe :) Tips bring ur own towel, or else pay ¥200 for the towel

Before the stay, we were debating whether we want to pay extra to stay in a room with onsen. Fortunately, we decided to splurge and every day during our 4 nights' stay, we used the private onsen overlooking the snowy mountain of beginner skiers. We maximized our spent - a dip early in the morning after breakfast, a dip after a break of skiing in the afternoon, a dip before dinner, and a dip after dinner. It helped A LOT to sooth the tired and bruised legs after a long day of skiing.
The room is cozy with traditional Japanese style - tatami and futon. You get a voucher back everyday if you decide not to have your room made up. You can redeem the voucher for in-room wifi access.
The package we booked included buffet breakfast, which is a hearty one with a combination of Western and Japanese choices. We felt really lucky and blissful to be able to see powdery snowflakes floating gently outside the window whilst we have our breakfast.
Location is fantastic - ski in ski out. It spoiled us for it makes us think that the idea of carrying our skis after an exhausting day back to lodgings further from the hotel is kind of torturous.
Will definitely restay. I'm missing Hirafutei already, especially the room...

All onsens here have no tattoo signs but I have not found any issues - if I am unsure, I cover mine with large bandaids/plasters. This particular onsen did not seem to have an issue
There are more places to choose from in the Kutchan-cho area.
