A very convenient hotel around Hirafu. Although restaurants are temporarily closed for dinner because of the less outbound visitors, they provided excellent breakfast. The common hot bath is not the hot spring, but there are so many publicly accessible hot springs around. We would love to come back in the winter season.

Love this hotel so much. Hotel is nested just 2-3min drive away from the main village but you get see so much openness and space. Feels like you are living in the middle of the wild. Hotel is brand new and room are spacious with great amenities. Onsen (indoor and outdoor) and breakfast were a delight. The Japanese staff speaks perfect English (unlike other Japanese Hotel I stayed in where there was many communication issues). Everything was well sanalized and very very clean. I will be definitely returning next trip and staying here instead of the main village. Nishi-San and Horita-san were very helpful during our stay. I stayed from 11-13 Dec 2020.

The hotel is a few mins away by car from hirafu main village, if u have a car this is a great place to stay. Hotel is clean and service from breakfast is excellent, most of the staff from breakfast has excellent service alway willing to serve and help. The hotel cleaning is every few days. There is onsen which is clean too and great after a days skiing. The food at breakfast is good. May i suggest u put a door from the back parking directly to the hotel at the back instead of making the guests walk from the parking to the lobby in icy conditions as its not really safe to do so. Most of the staff at the hotel are nice except for this girl below (posted photo) I think her name is Maddie, she was the only one who looks really unhappy with whats she's doing she is at the reception. Its like doomsday everyday with her she barely smiles doesn't even bother to say thank you at all, very UNWELCOMING. People like her should not be at the front desk or better yet please do not hire people who makes our vacation sour. When i asked for help (this is not once) she was not eager to help would just look at me with big eyes and sourly face. One time i told her pls inform housekeeping to clean the room as they did not clean yesterday she just told me point black, they will clean your room! with the very unfriendly face. One time i asked her to help with the car rental OMG she was not willing to help either good thing she instead pushed to her companion and her companion was willing to help. We stayed here 7 nights and not once did this girl bother smile at all i only saw her being friendly when she was talking to guest who was a guy that was the only time she was smiling a lot. And just to let u know i speak clear fluent english so there is no way she cannot understand me. Everyone else was nice and helpful.

The place was so cozy. lighting was good and ambiance was warm our tatami apartment was perfect- Japanese srtle but modern facilities The driver who brought us to the Kutchan train station on our last day was so kind. he braved the blizzard to make sure we dont get stuck in Niseko

The whole experience has been great starting from after booking online. Since it was our first time to Niseko and first time skiing, I emailed the hotel many many times over many months asking so many questions about activities, ski lessons, hire, pick up, shuttle bus, chartered bus, train to otaru etc etc etc. All the staff who had replied to my questions were patient and helpful. They sorted out the all the bookings for bus, ski lesson, snowmobiling and ski hire for us. We were picked up by the shuttle bus and taken to the hotel after we were on the chartered bus for 3 hours from chitose airport. When we arrived at the hotel, Olivia checked us in and gave us all the info we need such as the hot bath, shuttle bus to town, breakfast etc. She's very helpful and nice. As soon as we opened the door to our room, we were amazed by the view and then the size of the room. OMG, we were very impressed! Bed was comfy, shower was good, shared hot bath was good. Breakfast was good too, they serve asian and western style food for breakfast. All the staff there are very nice too. Such a great way to start the day! We will definitely return to this hotel when we come back for skiing. LOVED IT! Thank you to all the staff who looked after us: drivers, receptionists, cleaners, chefs, restaurant wait staff. You are all amazing, keep up the good work :)

This is a stylish modern hotel set among the Trees area. It is also very close (5 minutes' driving distance from a place called Milk Kobo which sells the most delicious cream puffs and cheese tarts). From the moment we walked through the main doors we were made to feel welcome. Nao was on duty at the reception area -- she spoke excellent English (having studied in the US before) and is definitely someone any hotel would be proud to have on their staff. Friendly, helpful and efficient, she made the check-in process smooth and pain-free. This happened to be our wedding anniversary and we were upgraded to a 1 bedroom apartment in one of the lodges. The apartment was spacious and very clean. It consisted of a bedroom with a king bed, a living room with a sofa and good sized coffee table and a flat screen TV. Wifi free and fast. In room facilities included a Nespresso machine, mini fridge, kettle, microwave. Total size of apartment felt like 400 sq feet. Beds were comfortable and quality of linen good. The bathtub was of adequate size and deep enough to soak in. There are male and female onsens on site, but we did not use these. Breakfast was not a huge spread, but was more than adequate. The chef prepared omelettes, bacon, salmon, beans, salad and miso soup for each of us, and there was a mini buffet spread of cereals, juices, milk and yoghurt, rice and pickles, toast and jams as well as coffee and tea. It was a wonderful experience and if we come back to Niseko, this would definitely be our choice for accommodation!

I loved my stay at Nest at the Trees and wish it were for longer than two nights, even if I had to lug my luggage up to the second floor (there are no lifts for all hotel rooms). The hotel is stylish and minimalist in a cosy way, and the hotel room was very spacious with a huge bed, larger than usual standard Japanese hotel bathroom, and a clever modular sofa. The desk area is a little tight, but there’s lots of space for luggage as well as a little kitchenette area complete with microwave oven and cutleries! Plus the view of Mt Yotei is fantastic, as long as it’s not covered in clouds, that is. I also liked that the hotel provided a manual on how to operate the tv, air conditioning and so on - something not typically present in hotels. The hotel also diligently followed up with me after making our reservations and prior to checking in, and when we emailed them about being unable to eat pork and related products for breakfast (we just wanted to know if there were options we could have), we actually realised that they made sure there was no pork, bacon, ham and etc whatsoever for their small but tasty breakfast buffet spread. The local Niseko rice served with pickles and miso mackerel was so good I would have happily eaten just that. Perhaps they were able to do this as it’s a fairly quiet season in Niseko end of June, but it was very much appreciated. The only issue we really had was with the washer/dryer. The room the laundry facilities are in has inadequate ventilation so it took a long time for the clothes to dry. Maybe this is something they can look into so no one hogs the dryer for too long. The bottom of the shower curtain could also use a little scrub. Admittedly, Nest at the Trees isn’t the most central of hotels if you’re looking to have restaurants and shops a few minutes walk away, but it sits in between Niseko Village and Hirafu and if you have your own transport, getting around should be no problem.

Stayed 3 nights in April during our snowboard trip in Niseko. Room is spacious and comfortable. Limited staff but they are all very helpful. The breakfast is good enough though not much choice compared with other hotel. Lastly, big thanks to the staff arrangement on my birthday with warm birthday card. Will definitely come back for our next trip.
