Had a 4 night stay here for our honeymoon. Price was a bit on the dear side but after experiencing the convenience and service, it was well worth it. Very conveniently located to the Family Lift and NBS where we rented our gear (didn’t know about The Vale doing rental so may be an even better option next time). Convenience store (Seico Mart) and restaurants/eats (Tozanken Ramen, Bang Bang, A-Bu-Cha 2, Mini Donut food truck) also very walkable distance. The onsen was great after a long day of boarding too. All front staff were helpful and nice but big shout out to Fumi who went above and beyond- very lovely guy. They were able to accommodate a late check out for us when we asked in advance and they checked that there was no one else booked to check in right after us. We also got help pre-booking a taxi to fit all our luggage to Kutchan Station to head on to the next part of our trip. Thank you to The Vale Niseko, we were very happy with our stay and hopefully we will be back again some time!

A group of 6 of us stayed in the 3 bedroom apartment with the Mt Yotei view. The hotel is more western style and definitely bigger than your average hotel in Japan. Each bedroom had a comfy king sized bed and there were three bathrooms in the apartment (2 ensuites). The common area of the apartment had a full kitchen with a good sized fridge. The living and dining area had plenty of seating and a stunning view of Mt Yotei. The hotel also has an onsen and ski lockers. The location is fantastic being right next to the Ace family lifts. The hotel also offers pickup from hirafu welcome centre where the buses drop you off. We had a fantastic stay here and would definitely recommend the Vale.

Unfortunately, my most recent stay at The Vale Niseko hotel was pretty unsatisfactory. First of all, the staff's attitude was really bad. When interacting with guests, they appeared uninterested and unenthusiastic, which contributed to the hotel's overall unwelcoming vibe. Second, the hotel's service was below par. There were multiple instances were my demands were entirely ignored, and requests for basic facilities were frequently greeted with lengthy wait times. It was annoying to have to keep checking in with employees to make sure my needs were being met. Lastly my family and I were kicked off the restaurant at 8pm while it was supposed to close at 10pm because they wanted to leave early. My whole The Vale Niseko experience was below par. with subpar service, and lousy attitudes from the workers. I can't suggest this hotel to anybody looking for a cozy place to stay in Niseko.

If you are looking for an in and out Ski hotel The Vale is one with good location, but there are much better hotels in the area that this one . People are not nice !! Specially at the front desk, they don’t have nice attitude , the concierge young lady doesn’t help you , don’t even say good morning , doesn’t offer any help. The last day we tried to ask for only one more hour for the check out and they said immediately no even though it was the last season week and there were just a few people . The outside “cafeteria” if you can call that a cafeteria !!! Is a small little shop with 3 kind of toasties and they were out of two !!! We loved to go to the Hyatt big and nice cafeteria even though we had to take a shuttle , they had a big place with a lot of Options. staying outside with a toastie was unacceptable!! The restaurant closes at 8pm and also the bar , so we couldn’t even have a drink after this hour !!! We wanted to be with our friends, drinking a glass of wine at 8 pm and they were totally closed !! Even though the waiters and waitress were inside chatting and having their own drinks !! INCREDIBLE AND UNACCEPTABLE. They should repair the outside wood steps going to the little shop outside, with the ski boots is so difficult and danger to go up and down on those broken wood steps. We love to travel all around the world, our expectations of skiing in Japan were so high! And unfortunately with this hotel we couldn’t have a nice experience . The people at the ski rental were the only one so NICE AND SERVICE ORIENTED , thank you so much guys! You made the difference for us !! I will never recommend this hotel !! There are so many in and out beautiful hotels with better facilities, nice people and good restaurants . Never come here

Definitely no value for the price you paid. The hotel is so dated, it felt like a pension! For 600k¥ a night there are far better options. Vale has been resting on the laurels, given that it’s ski in (not so much ski out), that they had forgotten about japanese hospitality (one of the best). The breakfast served was so basic, & not even tasty, compared to nearby hotels, coffee was good no doubt. The rooms were only cleaned every alternate days, beds weren’t made, garbage not discarded (they only put in new towels ), nothing else was cleaned, sheets only changed once a week The feel of The Vale felt more like a pension than a 4star hotel. Never going back! For 600¥ I have far better options.

We had a wonderful experience, friendly staff, great amenities. We spent two nights in a double superior room, very comfortable. On site onsen and massage are available, perfect after a day on the slopes. Very helpful staff that arranged reservations and transfer within the resort. Wide range of breakfast offerings insuring that you are fuelled and ready to go on daily adventures.

Excellent location, nice onsen, good service! I feel very comfortable. The hotel's hot springs are good, although not big, but not many people, so it is very comfortable. Courteous and competent staff, smooth operations even during COVID, I felt very secure.

We stayed at The Vale for a weekend in March 2021. It was quiet because of the lack of overseas travelers (Covid times), but all the facilities were excellent and we could enjoy every part of our stay. We have a 3 year old and a 1 year old, so the apartment was perfect for us to balance eating out and cooking for ourselves. It was a great size and everything was easy to use and safe for the kids. The washer/dryer inside the apartment was so convenient for kids too. (And the huge stone bath was a highlight for them too!) Staff were very friendly and spoke Japanese and English, and The Vale is within walking distance of ski slopes/rental/cafes and restaurants - which was great as our 3 year old was hitting the slopes for the first time. The hotel also has its own restaurant, onsen and outdoor pool facilities - so it’s a great balance of convenience and independence. All around recommend.

There are a couple of pros and cons to The Vale, we stayed here briefly. The rooms are very stuffy, there is little to no ventilation - so you'd have to turn the heating all the way down. The decor in the rooms are nice though, and I rate them highly. Check-in and Check-out was quick and efficient, members of staff were all friendly and kind and helpful. One thing I would criticise is that the Ski Shop's rates are really high, go out to one of the local ones (Rhythm - close by) instead.

Just gave us the option to change reservation until October which makes no sense as things will not be normal then and also no ski season which was why we chose it in the first place... ANA airlines and rest of hotels did the right thing except them. It is a shame as when the time comes to go to Niseko we will stay someplace else.
