We stayed here for 5 days and were delighted with the apartment. It was quite spacious - bedroom, lounge, dining, bathroom and kitchen was pretty well equipped with most things (no cooking oil) to use if dining in. Housekeeping were excellent! (Serviced every few days) and staff were very friendly and chatty. Ski storage is on ground floor and quite secure. It’s a 5 minute walk to the Hirafu intersection if taking any of the ski buses. It’s a 15min bus trip to Harazona ski field. There’s free on site drop off from 8-10am too if you don’t want to walk to Grand Hirafu. Plenty of food options available on the street and convenience stores too. No onsite onsen but you are able to use the Vale for a discount if you show your keys at reception - didn’t get a chance to try it out as we ran out of time. Overall I would highly recommend staying here and hope to be back in the future!

I have booked the studio room. Nice little room good for couple. Room is clean and got little kitchen with sink, microwave and dishwasher. The room itself has radiator bar to keep you warm, but there are no air-condition, so not sure how it works in the summer, i did notice a fan.The apartment is really close to all the restaurant and the management do provide transport service to the slopes (not sure if they charge for that, as mine comes in a bundle with other services i paid for). The only downside to this place is you share a common area with another unit before entering your room, this common area is where you put on or take out your shoes before entering your room. I am lucky that no one was staying next to my unit but i would assume will be quiet awkward to see a stranger while putting your shoes on or taking then out. Overall, i really love this place and would highly recommend for others.

Dear alvinh889, Thank you very much for your lovely review. We are ecstatic that you enjoyed your time with us at The Freshwater. We are also thrilled that you were able to take advantage of our complimentary shuttle service to the slopes in the mornings and even more so that you enjoyed the amenities that The Freshwater has to offer, including the kitchenette and warmth of the radiator. Indeed, we do not have aircon however we do have fans to keep our guests nice and cool. We are lucky it does not get too hot here in summer! Thank you again for choosing The Freshwater for your winter Getaway. We hope to see you again next season! Warmest Regards, Nisade Boutiques Property Manager

If you want to enjoy ski, the vibrant night life of Niseko as well as a home from home feeling, Freshwater Apartment is the place to be. It is very close to the Main Street of Niseko with many restaurants and bars around. I especially recommend the truck park with all the yummy street food. The supermarket is also only steps away. What better than having a hearty breakfast in your own warm dining room with the beautiful snow view outside. For ski, it is about 5 minutes walk to the family base. There is a regular shuttle bus service in the morning until 10:30. The reception and drivers are very friendly. You do normally need to walk back to the apartment after ski but it is quite a lot cheaper than ski-in ski-out hotels. I think the saving is worth that extra efforts. The locker room is spacious, more than enough to store ski stuff for the whole family. The bus stop for the public shuttle bus going around Niseko area is also just outside the apartment. So if you want to travel to other areas or Kutchan Town, it is very handy. The apartments are clean, modern, elegantly decorated and well equipped. The two bedroom apartments are spacious. And the studios are compact with all necessary equipment fitted in even a hide-away kitchen. Last but not least, it also provides a pick-up and drop-off service to and from Niseko Welcome Centre where all the bus transfer services start and finish. So the whole journey to and from Sapporo or Airport can be really smooth despite the sometimes cold and windy weather of Niseko.

The flats are new, clean and with style. We felt like being in the best place at Niseko. Nevertheless, we were disappointed about the ski area. For Europeans with the Alps next door, the mountain was too flat and not challengeing. Still, not fault of the Hotel; This I would always book again.

The Freshwater is a great location in Grand Hirafu. All the staff a super helpful and go beyond expectations in making your holiday the best. They are punctual in their transport, which is greatly appreciated especially when arriving after a long flight and bus journey. The reception staff researched the best connections for airport transports both too and from Niseko and also for the next leg of our holiday in Tokyo. They also booked activities around the villages and Kutchan and also made dinner reservations and transport arrangements for activities. The staff are happy and genuine and make you feel right at home from the minute you meet them on your arrival. Well done and thanks to everyone at The Freshwater for a fabulous stay in the snow!

I have stayed here twice now and the staff are always amazing. They are really welcoming and pretty knowledgeable about the local area and if they are not sure they know exactly who to contact to find out. We had a pretty big party and hey we’re so accommodating for all of our requests. Even when our heating broke... they got a few people out to fix it and provided us with some lovely treats to say sorry. The two penthouse flats are roomy and comfortable. I and my family will be staying here again.

Very comfortable apartments (we had double and studio for our family) and the staff, especially Scarlet, were excellent with advice, any service needs and lifts to ski slopes. Convenient location 10 minutes walk from gondola, 5 minutes from Seicomart and ski rental shops. Close to great restaurants, bars and onsen. No issues with wifi or sound between apartments reported in previous guest reviews. We’ll definitely return.

Good standard of accommodation. The Studio apartment was small but had everything we needed. The staff were fantastic. Claire helped us to organise a day trip and was very knowledgable. The drop off in the morning to the gondola was good. We visited the Onsen at the Vale several times and received discount as were staying at the Freshwater. Would recommend. The only downside was the walls were very thin, so we could hear the family staying next door to us who had a small child. We will be back.

This is a great accomodation venue reasonably priced and within walking distance of the Grand Hirafu Gondola, restaurants, and transport. I experienced incredibly slow and unreliable WiFi whilst here - and I heard a few other guests commenting on this also. Having said that, the staff were friendly, the rooms were clean. I would definitely stay here again.
