Functional basic hotel with ski in & ski out facility. Best feature is its location near upper Hirafu, near ski lift. Hotel looks very dated outside. Rooms are clean but pretty basic. Hotel has a good buffet spread for breakfast & a pretty good popular Japanese restaurant.

I loved this hotel. It is not posh but the location was perfect and good value for the money. It is ski in and out. The ski lift tickets and rental center is literally just across the parking lot. Walking distance to best shops and restaurants in Grand Hirafu. I strongly suggest staying in this area for the best over...

Older, unrenovated" lady" right at the "Alpen" lift. There are 2 great unisex ONSEN and a 25 meter swimming pool. Drying cupboards for your skis and boards. Room are spacious and comfortably warm. Most of the staff that we encountered had limited English, however we were there for the snow. Limited English TV Channels and BBC reverts to Japanese voiceover...

A great place to go after skiing or on those days, when the weather is cold, or your legs need a rest, is the Swimming Pool at the Alpen Hotel Niseko. The Alpen Hotel is found at Dot Base Niseko. The pool is open to non-residents, entry fee, 800 Yen. The 25 meter pool is split with the two far...

Perfect ski-in ski-out location for ski travel in Niseko. Very nice and friendly staffs helped for all problems. Clean room. Convenient location to go to the streets or grab foods. Will be back again in the future.

The location is unbeatable, the facilities are many including onsen , swimming pool and even a clinic. The price is sort of expensive but I think it can be justified if staff can be a bit more helpful. The staff there can speak perfect English . We ask for their help to reconfirm the restaurants we reserved earlier only by...

Great hotel with ski in and ski out facilities together with private lockers. Hotel has onsen and it free for inhouse guests and a heated swimming pool. Rates are not cheap but you have choice of skiing down to Ace Family Chair lift or walk a 50m to 2 other chair lifts. Hotel guests get discounts on ski lessons at...

If you are a keen skier this is THE place to stay. It is right on the slopes next to the main chairlift. You can ski all morning then come in for a rest on the bed and easily out again for some floodlight skiing. The ski locker room was very conveniently placed and seemed to dry and warm the...

At the recommendation of our travel agent, we booked the Niseko Alpen Hotel. Upon arrival, it did not look like much from the outside... seems dated. However, upon check in, you realize that the staff at this hotel go out of their way to make you feel welcomed. They even remember your name! Check in was smooth and quick. Staff...

First timer to Niseko and this hotel does not disappoint. We took the Hokkaido Resortliner from the airport which was pretty straight forward and head directly to Niseko. The nearest stop for drop off to this hotel will be the Hirafu Welcome Center (Should be the second stop for the bus drop off) From the Hirafu Welcome Center, the hotel...
