If you need a room for a hot shower after a trek or climb in this area then this is the spot for you. Facilities are basic and the whole building in dated but it is a safe haven for the weary tramper/climber. My mate and I had 2 or 3 nights here whilst suffering in the nearby mountains and... More

We booked this online the night before our arrival, and got there about 5. The host was friendly and efficient and we found the unit clean, the super king size bed very comfortable, and really appreciated the two lazy boy chairs provided for us. They have a very active policy of recycling and conservation with clear instructions and receptacles so... More

Glenorchy is way, way from the beat and rush of everyday life. This motel does a great job putting everyday life behind you. It is a very homey kind of place, with a small garden around the office area. Even though it's on the main drag, it is quiet. It's with in easy stroll of Glenorchy's town center as well... More

We arrived in Glenorchy after doing the Cascade Saddle and Rees track. After checking out a few other places in Glenorchy, which we found either too expensive or poor value for money, we found the Mt Earnslaw motel. It was just what we needed, our own space, clean and cosy, quiet and a comfortable bed with big fluffy pillows. Good... More

We recently stayed at this motel, in a very large room with a very clean and modern bathroom. The room was quiet, had some nice seating outside, and was located centrally in Glenorchy. We were surprised to find the motel in such a good state, since LP describes it as 'dated'. I can only disagree with that and highly recommend... More

the motel is located just beside the main road, you wouldn't miss it. motel is small and quiet, have only handful of rooms. Nevertheless, the rooms are spacious, the bathroom is extraordinary clean , bedding is very comfortable and warm, free parking and WiFi provided, and surprisingly, the kitchen (a very small one) has all the basic kitchen necessity you'll... A friend and I recently stayed at the Mt Earnslaw Motel in Glenorchy. The small compact unit was all that we required, excellent value for money. It was clean, tidy with very comfortable beds and our unit had a great view of the mountains. I had had a fall while tramping and injured my face and no medical aid was... More

There is very little choice in Glenorchy. However this little place always is warm, great comfy bed and excellent showers. The truly amazing scenery ( couldn't be better anywhere) is what you visit here for. This rustic charming motel adds to the experience. A Must do is the Glenorchy walkway. It's free, simply glorious, all flat with heaps of board... More

First of all, we debated about going to Glenorchy at all but are so glad we did. The drive along Lake Wakatipu is beautiful, and Glenorchy is a peaceful alternative to busy Queenstown. The motel itself did look rundown from the outside and made us wonder whether or not we had made a wise choice, but the rooms were clean... More

First impressions from the outside were that the Motel was a little bit tired but our room was clean, comfortable, well equipped and well presented and we're very glad we chose to stay there. There were even proper Lazeeboy reclining chairs in our room. There are two or three places within a few minutes walk for something to eat and... More
