We stayed here for three nights. The rate was good and we were upgraded when we arrived at no extra cost which was a bonus. The hall/ stair carpet in the main building had been refitted - lovely pattern but could do with fluorescent safety edge on treads as the pattern merged and I was worried about missing a step!...

Disappointed. This hotel could be a real gem but our room was dusty and the carpet looked like it hadn't seen a hoover for some time. Whose in charge checking things..?.Fixture and fittings were in dire need of replacing, our bedside lamp was so old it was crumbling. We had not signal in coach house and the Tv often lost...

Pleasant stay, lovely old building, room in stable block spacious but beds in dire need of mattress topper as not even a mattress protector and could feel all the springs! No wifi in bedrooms and no phone signal so not great. Overall comfortable stay with good breakfast. Wonderful open fire made the evening really lovely in the bar!

Booked for my partners birthday, phoned up before hand to make sure they could cater for him as he has dietary needs ( gluten and dairy free ) they said its not a problem. When we went down for dinner we found out that they could not cater for him at all, so he struggled to find anything he could...

Went as part of small group of cyclists. Had room 28 in the annexe. Been here before, same high standard of beds, and food as before. Service was good and we enjoyed good weather for the week we were there.

One night business trip and our second visit . We arrived 7pm ish and headed for something to eatin the bar. Felt a bit rushed to make a decision but they stop serving at 8.30pm. The bar was lovely and cosy with the large open fire. The food was delicious well presented and very homely just what we needed after...

The prices for this place are very good. The building is such a delight and quirky to say the least. The rooms are HUGE. The bar downstairs in friendly and the food is great. Good pub grub. Breakfast is always a struggle as I always have to set off early. So it ends up a rush, but it looks decent...

We stayed at the Scole Inn for three nights and were pleased with our stay. The building is from the 1600s and therefore the floors are uneven, the stairs (including carpets) are worn and not level and the rooms are of varying sizes, some with sloping ceilings and some with strange door heights. However, this just emphasises the character of...

Despite the Scole Inn being once a beautiful listed building this hotel is sad beyond belief. The decor has not been touched in years, the ' king size bed' was just about a double, the mattress was approximately two inches thick, the breakfast was tasteless (tinned mushrooms) the toast like cardboard. When I went to have a shower sewage was...
