Hotel's Favourite
My husband and I stayed at this amazing hotel from the 3rd of February for 10 days. We didn't want to come home! From walking out of the airport and down the street to the Crown Point we were made to feel welcome from the local people. They said hello, smiled and even said " Welcome to Tobago. We were warmly greeted by the front of desk staff and went to our lovely room. Clean cool and comfortable we felt relaxed and happy from the start. After unpacking we went down to the bar and were made to feel very welcome...not only by the staff but by other guests as well. The CPBH has a really nice vibe. The food was really great at the Blu Bar and Restarant and we ate there quite a bit and would always have a night cap in the evenings. Breakfast was always doubles from Kennys or Debes. We enjoyed the beach both Store Bay and Pigeon Point. We had a boat trip with Frankies Tours and a fantastic island tour from Wayne Kennedy. What made our holiday so so special were the fantastic people of Trinidad and Tobago. We need to say a massive thank you to Nicolas, Sonia ,Andre, Daniel, Afesha and Chef Christoff ..the Blu Team. Beautiful kind and fun human beings. Big hugs to Chanelle and Hannah on front desk. Great establishment with amazing staff. We will be back. Jim and Helen Room 219.

I stayed one night for a business trip to tobago and was not able to have breakfast at the hotel befor i left for my meeting. Breakfast is beeing served too late. ordered a coffee at 930am and was told I had to wait until two tables were served. Other than that, the rooms are clean and the grounds are wellkept.

This hotel has in my opinion the best location in Tobago. It’s stairs to Store Bay is a great selling point however they are not doing what is needed to bring this hotel to its maximum potential. I decided that i was headed to tobago at 12noon and called to meet a kind person on the other end working hard to secure me a room and she did. I learnt my lesson from my last stay and asked for the paperwork to be written up before my arrival at 1:30 and she did same. I pause here to say 6.50 for 1 USD is abysmal as many other hotels it is higher and is something to look out for. I then went to my room and to say i was disappointed was an understatement. Yes it was clean however,it looked soo old and in my view the outside with the antiquated louvers took me back to the early 2000’s. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and i appreciate this as it meant I could whip up a meal if needed. As i returned from pan at 3am, I was concerned for my safety as i saw the front desk and security guard seat was empty however this was quelled when i saw the security guard walking who stopped and asked me “ If i was a guest there and what room”. I mistakenly said 507 and mere minutes later another security knocked on my door at 506 to ensure i was ok and in my room safe. The morning, I got to interact with more of the amazing staff and they will surely make me miss this place however, i do not see myself returning unless some upgrades are done to the facility. Some cheaper hotels offer cream so i would also like to see some more toiletries being given as i forgot cream and the next door store was costing 42 dollars for a bottle of cream.

Love the convenience and safety of this hotel. Very friendly staff . The pool and drinks at the bar is great. Would recommend for families . Hotel needs some work but we overlooked that as the other factors were most important to us. Thanks Shenade for the excellent service during our stay .

The hotel offers a great location in Tobago, but is dated with basic amenities, so I would say it rates a 4-5 for its location, 4 for comfort, and 2-3 for the quality of its infrastructure. It's certainly not in the style of the new mega-resorts in Mexico or Punta Cana, but offers a comfortable, relaxed stay in the commercial area of a non-commercial island. Everything about Tobago is like visiting a Caribbean island before mass tourism took over the beaches. The commercial strip of Crown Point is a collection of small bars and restaurants, mixed with road-side fruit sellers and micro food business, selling local specialties such as cow heel soup or doubles. While you don't get the large, flowing pools and swim-up bars at CPBH, neither do you have to compete for a lounger at any time of the day, and likely there will be no other people at the pool. However, the loungers have seen better days, and more than a couple of umbrellas or somewhere with shade could easily be provided. But while clean and comfortably situated, there seems to be little effort to upgrade. The rooms have a few surface upgrades, such as new countertops, but original cabinets. There is a coffee maker, but you're expected to source your own coffee. The fridge is new, but nothing with a heating element is provided in the kitchenette. It's just a few minutes stroll through property to the beach or vendor's booths, but I did find the landscaping was quite bare, considering the easy possibilities of adding more tropical plants along the way. Every room has an ocean-front view, and I found the first floor more practical, as you can walk out from the small patio to the property, rather than proceeding to stairs at either end of the building (as would be required from the second floor). The staff were all very friendly and accomodating, and answered all my questions. They willingly let us have a look at the available room before signing in, to make sure it was acceptable before we proceeded. I found the proudly displayed and faded pictures in the lobby of the Queen's stay at CBBH in 1963 to be quite interesting. I'm sure the hotel was quite splendid at that time, and there appears to have been minimal changes since that time. Had I noticed the pictures earlier, I would have requested to stay in the Queen's cabana! At the CPBH, you get a great view and location, relatively small number of guests around, personalized service, and a dated, but comfortable room. These are acceptable trade-offs for the limited amenities. Pretend you are discovering the island before the crowds swarm in, and you'll be fine.

The staff were all pleasant and very helpful. The grounds and scenery are just magical. A favorite place for my short stays just to get away. We had 2 cabanas next to each other and this worked well for us. They are comfy and clean and you could just walk out to the garden and sit on lounge chairs. Excellent place to stay.

My husband and I stayed at Crown Point Beach Hotel from March 20th to 24th. We stayed in one of their cabanas, and it was a great experience overall. The check in process was easy and much quicker than we were expecting. The front desk staff were efficient and helpful. Our cabana (404) was well equipped with a small kitchenette (fridge, microwave, gas countertop burner, kettle, dishes and cooking utensils, basic pots and pans) There were two beds in the cabana, a double and a twin mattress. Both were unfortunately pretty uncomfortable and hard, and I would suggest the hotel upgrades these mattresses when possible. The best part of the cabana was the patio, which had a beautiful view of the grounds and sea. We enjoyed our meals outside each day. We did have an issue with our air conditioner, and the hotel staff were very quick to change out the air conditioner unit and checked in with us several times to ensure everything was working properly—thank you Barry! The location of the hotel is super convenient, within walking distance to the airport and Store Bay, as well as restaurants and bars. It needs to be said that the hotel is in a beautiful location with basic amenities. The rooms, though well equipped and functional, are not fancy by any means and if you’re looking for that kind of stay, this hotel won’t check the boxes. With that said, we had a great stay and enjoyed our time in Tobago (as always) We will absolutely book with Crown Point Beach Hotel again and would definitely recommend it!

At checkout, the manager was EXTREMELY rude to me and my family. We paid for a late checkout and I even offered to pay for the entire night. The attitude she gave us was belittling and I will NEVER stay at the crown point again. We asked to check out at 5.30pm and when we showed up at that time, the attendant called the manager who came out at 5.31pm and looked at the clock and sighed and said it is minutes to 6 indicating that we overstayed our time ALTHOUGH I told them I will pay for the entire night. Secondly, the waitress at the restaurant was extremely RUDE on the night we dined in at the restaurant. She washed the glasses and left water stains on it and was slamming the glasses down when she was putting it down all because we asked for bottled water instead of tap water.
