Beautiful landscape and a fantastic beach. The service is nothing to rave about, friendly front desk staff, waitresses not too happy but also not too sour. The breakfast buffet is basic and standard. The rooms are insanely old and outdated and in need of a tremendous makeover ASAP. Perfect location, perfect beach.

Take TT$ not US$. Housekeeping were abysmal, insisting on making both beds with the blanket under the top sheet, not replacing bath towels, and put back a dangerous chair from where I had moved it to! I have no doubt it is back where they want it! Maintenance needed on two doors and one curtain. Unable to sleep with the A/c unit on, due to loud erratic noises, plus nearby bars open until 5.00am. The law is apparently 4.00am to allow for sleep! Only Dorado and Tuna available and a variety of excuses were given such as coronavirus , the season and the sea swell, non of which were true. There is a fish market nearby and we know that Mahi Mahi was available. And who wants roast beef and lamb stew, with a jacket potato, in the Caribbean? If you do please do not leave the UK! You will not get sun burnt, or even a decent tan, here due to the shade from the palm trees. Most of the staff were good and friendly even if most of them did not ask our names, while I did try and learn most of theirs! The house drinks covered everything we needed. Occupancy was very low, estimated a max of 50 people, some nights only 6 for dinner, which left the chat at the bar a non event. This hotel will not be winning any of the awards that it did in the 2010s for the foreseeable future.

Currently here at the moment. Lovely location and great staff. Could do with a lick of paint here and there but otherwise nice place. We're here with friends and family and we all are enjoying the experience.

Stayed at this hotel for four nights. It was a family visit and also the first time staying there. The main pros of the hotel for me was its location, being 5 mins walking distanced from the airport as well as the cordoned off beach area which was something I wanted having a 6 year old along. All is all it was an ok experience. The Good(s) 1. Breakfast included 2. Beach area being blocked off by an artificial rock barrier was very calm. Non motorized water sports included 3. Nicely manicured grounds 4. Close proximity to a fair amount of outside food options (5-10 mins walking) 5. Was allowed a late checkout The Bad 1. Breakfast was from a fixed menu that allowed a choice of four items. The variety was not that extensive. There was a buffet on the Saturday by which time my wife and son were not really into breakfast anymore 2. The rooms and overall the whole hotel has a very dated look and feel. You know the hotel has seen its best days. 3. My room had an A/C maybe 5 feet of the ground and because of the placements of the beds one of them would be in the direct line of the A/C no matter how it was angled. 4. Met a dirty bed on the first day. There was sand on the bed and we called the front desk at around 10.30pm - 11pm and house keeping did not come till 1am.

This hotel is in Crown Point, next to Staw bay and pigeon point on either side. We were told this is the best hotel on the island 5 stars. Absolutely not. The entrance to the hotel housed an old Roll Royce car that has seen better days. The entrance into reception is dark and dismal, the decor is not what u would expect of a 5 star residence, with its old wicker furniture and dark brown flooring tiles everywhere including the bedrooms. This is meant to be a 5 star hotel, the best on the island .. it certainly is not.....with its peeling paint work and fallen missing masonry, broken and badly maintained building. We also stayed at Magnalena hotel which is its only competition, and 100% better both internal and external. The only think that is good at this hotel is the beach directly on the premises and its great staff, especially Roxanne one of its chef what made us salt fish for breakfast, thank u Roxanne. The food is over priced and the portions very small. The sunbeds are all dirty and all should be replaced and lots of ants crawling around, we had to move three times. On two occasions there were no clean towels for the beach at 10am in the morning we had to wait until lunchtime. Bear in mind that there were probably about 50 guest total in the hotel, heaven help us if it was full. The bedrooms are very disappointing, the same paint work in reception is also in every bedroom, and yes I understand this is a quaint hotel, but the rooms are old with old bedding and the curtains are dirty they must be 20 years old at least. I would be surprised if anything I.e. investment has been put into this hotel over the last 30 years, because if it has, I can't see it. We paid 25% more to stay here than the Magnalena hotel, and the difference between the two is vast. Management should consider giving their guest who have travelled thousands of miles a magical experience with beautiful surroundings and well kept hotel. This certainly is not.

We stayed at Coco Reef for the whole month of July 2022. Perfectly located in Crown Point with the buzzing life in the streets outside, you are close to everything. With the resort itself being withdrawn from the road and close to the sea, you’ll also be able to enjoy the tranquility, which is a very nice combination. From the moment you enter the gates of the property, you understand that this will be something special. The garden is beautiful, with palm trees surrounding the driveway all the way towards the entrance of the resort. We were greeted by the manager, Elizabeth, and had a tour around the resort before deciding which room to stay in. The rooms have a classical, Caribbean interior with bamboo furniture and stunning views over the bay, with magical sunsets awaiting you in the evenings. Coco Reef has it’s own beach, actually two, one small and one large, surrounded by the resort on one side and a breakwater on the other, which makes it a shallow and warm oasis. At the beach, you’ll also find Undersea Tobago, a PADI dive resort owned by Derrick and Evelyn Chung. We went diving with their employees, Ellis and Andre, and had an amazing experience. Coco Reef also has a spa section managed by the wonderful Lynn. Just go visit her, you will not regret it! Further on, the wifi was very good in our room, and also in the lobby and at the beach. The staff is wonderful, very polite and hospitable, and I would like to share a story about Janell, the group and ev at the resort. Janell has been at Coco Reef for almost 20 years and is very knowledgeable. She organized a lot of different trips for us on the island (make sure to do a road trip with Lester!), but it was when we had trouble with our return from Tobago to Port of Spain that she really made us flabbergasted. We were in a situation where we were about to miss out on our return flight to Europe from Port of Spain, but thankfully, Janell knew exactly what to do. She contacted her friend, a former Caribbean Airlines pilot with a private plane, and quickly confirmed that he could take us from Tobago to Port of Spain so that we wouldn’t miss our return flight to Europe. Our experience was so magical that we’ve already booked a new trip to Tobago and Coco Reef in 2023.

You can imagine how luxurious this hotel once was. These days it certainly needs some upgrading and TLC. However, if you pick up a good deal it’s definitely worth a visit. We had a lovely week. The staff are friendly and helpful. The food and drinks were great. We were all inclusive and not disappointed. The hotel is in a great area, near the airport but no noise from it. The coastline is wonderful and it’s safe to go walking and see how the locals live and enjoy themselves.

This hotel has the best situation in the world. It is on the beach with safe swimming but the lagoon is being swamped by the sea. About 15-20 years ago, great big boulders and sand were bought in to this lagoon but the wall of these huge boulders is being breached and stones lost. The beach is much smaller than years ago and it appears that Management don’t care. The hotel will be lost to tourists in a short time if they don’t mend the sea wall. Inside the rooms are poorly equipped and need updating. They smell of mould and the outside veranda needs renovating. The sun beds need a very good clean. The menu did not change for 14 days so both lunch and dinner menus are identical. However, the staff are cheerful and very helpful. The Acting Manager did change our room so we are most grateful for that. Please don’t let this bit of paradise get swamped by the sea levels. More money is desperately required from the owners in Bermuda or the tourists will not come to the hotel.

My wife and I spent 3 nights at the Coco Reef Resort and Spa and had a great time! The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating. The view is great. It is like having your own private beach! Very close to numerous restaurants and bars. I highly recommend!

Coco Reef is a lovely place to be. Before visiting Tobago we trawled all the reviews for hotels in the Crown Point area and decided this one suited us best, Tobago has had a hard time through the COVID pandemic and is only just recovering from low incomes for two years or more, with that in mind and having read the reviews we did not expect perfection. The hotel is very elegant and well positioned with a private beech which is excellent, all the services you need are a short walk away and the airport is close too. Yes the hotel requires a fair amount of updating and maintenance but for us it was both comfortable and convenient. I have to say that the staff were all fantastic and provided great service with genuinely friendly attitude, a special mention here for Esther who really made us feel special with her efficient way of dealing with anything we asked for, nothing was too much trouble. She even sorted a late checkout for us so we could stay on the beech until just before our flight in the final day. In short Coco Reef is a nice place to be, relaxing, comfortable elegant and has everything you need for a relaxing break, don’t hesitate to book. The design of the building is excellent with a n impressive lobby leading you through from the garden at the front to the beach. We arranged our holiday through British Airways, the cost was reasonable, we booked an a bed and breakfast basis and found extra costs were not expensive.
