The iconic Birdsville hotel. We spent every night here during the Birdsville races weekend. Lots of singing dancing and drinking and more drinking. Ticketed system for drinks during races worked well but very expensive. All the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Typical motel room but at $170 very expensive, but when you are the only one in town the sky is the limit. Comfortable and clean. Laundry needs more clothes lines and better dryers. Food in the restaurant is average and expensive. However when in Birdsville it's all about the experience!!

Have seen more interesting pubs through Australia . Windy weather conditions gave insight to life at Birdsville. Just a money spinner town. Accomodation looked good, didnt eat or stay long. Was disappointed actually but always wanted to go there, so now i have.

We stayed two nights on our APT tour in a motel unit behind the hotel and found the unit to be comfortable and clean with a good shower. The hotel has a lot of atmosphere with two bars, a large restaurant and an even larger outdoor area serviced by the restaurant. On cooler nights you can sit around an open...

We miss out on lunch as we got into town after 2pm. We were disappointed but stay for a drink. The place is full of history and keeps you looking all around as you drink your drink. It's a must visit. Great service. They have a sign up to dis arrange mobile phone use. Great idea!

The kitchen closes at 2pm as we have to allow our chefs and kitchen staff to have a break before the evening service - that being said I am sorry that you missed out on the lunch menu. Thanks for the feedback and the positive comments.

I stayed in the cabin accommodation and it was pleasant and spacious. One uses the general bathrooms of the Caravan Park, but there were plenty of showers. The room was spacious and clean and the bed comfortable. It is within walking distance of the Birdsville Pub and the river.

Arrived by plane as part of a small tour and stayed the night. Tour of the town first with Kevin from Desert Edge Tours then drinks and dinner in the pub. The pub was as iconic as all the pictures show with a large range of interesting characters there for drinks. The meal was well presented and tasty. The hotel...

We recently stayed 2 nights as part of an APT touring group. Had been wanting to visit this icon of Outback pubs for nigh on twenty years; finally got there and in comfort and some style too! All one can say is "Bloody Good" and it was very much what we expected it to be. Bar and restaurant areas atmosphere...

Spent a week in Birdsville recently and visited the pub on numerous occasions. Had a couple of meals and they were excellent pub fare. Considering the crowds the service was was excellent. Prices were fair. Did not stay in the rooms.

Did not actually stay at the pub but visited frequently. The Staff and owners were fantastic, considering the number of people in town they did a fantastic job. Good food good drinks, great character. Great place to stay or visit.
