This hotel is so wonderfully quaint, with a uniquely decorated lobby, with the hotel/breakfast area built around a live large tree. I think the staff literally stays up at nite so they can hand you your room key when you get back in from a late night of Tapas, since you can't leave the hotel with the key! Our room...

We were booked by a walking group who was looking for cheap alternatives. This hotel is well located.It doesn't have a lift and our heavy cases were left to us to move. The room was small but had a big balcony. As the weather was good we stored a suitcase on the balcony.The bathroom was adequate but small. The breakfast...

We stayed in Port Bou in early August whilst en-route to Tarragona. As there are very few hotels in the locality, this one seemed to be the safest bet given other reviews on the site. The hotel is quite okay. Rooms are really okay. Breakfast is typically Spanish - just coffee (at least gut coffee), bread, butter and jam. Anyway you have not so much choice in this forgotten border town - as it is the only hotel which is open all year. In summer you may find some less comfortable and cheaper guest houses...
