Lovely lady behind the bar there was a young waiter, he was fantastic very very attentive, plenty of meat nice and tender, very nice indeed and a great price too. We would definitely recommend 12-3 every Sunday.

Nice pub. Good food but very limited vegetarian menu. Dog friendly. Nice atmosphere. Polite and friendly staff. Worth a visit. Shame that on a whole there is insufficient vegetarian food in the area Finding good food in the evening and being able to take our dog in with us was extremely difficult for us on this holiday. Had to resort... More

Beautiful homemade soup and a nice cheese sandwich. Bread was fresh and cheese was flavoursome. Going around the shop/garden centre afterwards is a treat in itself! The shop and cafe is opem late on Thursdays too, which will be good for christmas. Recommended.

We took the room because it offered free wifi that could reach the room.(something that we found hard to find in hotels across the uk) At about 10pm and after the Internet dropped out a few times it disappeared completely. When I asked the lady at the bar she said that I was lucky to get anything in my room.... More

Met up with friends and because we had the dog we wanted somewhere with a beer garden. We came across The Holland Arms and went inside. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with a friendly hello, which was nice. The beer garden was at the back and they didn't mind us walking through with the dog. We... More

We needed somewhere basic for a one nighter and this fitted the bill. Room was fine although, despite there being no smoking signs, there was a strong smell of cigarettes. Opening the windows soon cleared that. Comfortable and clean. Hadn't expected breakfast to be included so that was a nice bonus.

Portions were huge especially on the ribs but food was average, need a bit more organisation with the waitering staff as we didn't know if we had to order at the bar or if they were taking our order, so eventually we ordered at the bar, the staff were very friendly and changed our food as i asked for onion... Popped here for a spot of lunch with my fiancee and toddler as I've heard decent reviews. I must say I was extremely disappointed. The place was dark and dismal without any other diners, surprising for a Saturday lunch time, although a few drinkers were by the bar watching the horse racing. The menu was basic pub grub, 2 for... First of all it looks nice on the outside. Very dark inside not child friendly even though they have tried adding sweet machines and toys. The outside back yard is a total mess and dog muck everywhere! The food is awful ive heard the carvery is better but not tried. Ordered open sandwich?? Curiosity got the better of me well... More

We arrived at the Holland Arms Hotel , unannounced with a party of 17, having been refused service at another local restaurant despite having prebooked , because we arrived at 6pm but with 17 instead of 11!! The staff at the Holland Arms made us feel most welcome and completely at home. We placed our orders at 8pm and were... More
