Get what you pay for. No frills hotel at a cheap rate. Handy for the NEC. Very friendly staff. Rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. Hotel decor is on the tacky side of fake but it's bearable for the price. Breakfast not included in the price but available. :)

You don't have many options in Atherstone and Red Lion has a nice price-value. Clean hotel although old fashioned. Nice staff. Nice bar. Average breakfast. 60 pounds per night. In the middle of the town

Good experience from the minute we arrived. The receptionist was very friendly & helpful. The room was clean, comfortable and well equipped. Had lunch which was good & reasonably priced . Breakfast was very good. Cannot understand why some people have left negative comments

The hotel was nice with lots of different areas to sit and relax. Room was clean and we had a four poster bed. I would recommend you take pillows as the ones we had were rock hard. We sat in the library in the evening and was very relaxed. We liked the lit up courtyard though. We would use it...

I visited this hotel in late December as I was attending a wedding local to the area and the price of the hotel and distance from my destination was attractive for my needs. Before arrival I made contact with reception to enquire about the possibility of an earlier check-in time than 2pm and the receptionist I spoke to at the...

Sorry to say this is the worst hotel I've ever stayed at. Dirty, poor facilities, poor service on all levels. Breakfast a shambles. Staff stated this was an unusual weekend and not their normal, sadly having read the reviews it seems it is very much the normal for this hotel. It would be beneficial if they took on board the...

Advertised as luxury accommodation. All rooms supposedly had an upgrade. This was not our experience visiting the hotel as part of a large wedding party for one night. Our 'double' room was very small, single size only with double bed pushed up against one wall and hardly room for two people to move around. Uncomfortable bed and poor trickle of...

Stayed one night in this lovely looking hotel. The reception and bar staff were very welcoming and pleasant. However I think you need to teach the miserable lady who served me coffee in the morning some lessons in customer service. If she doesn't like her job, then she shouldn't be serving people. Room was tiny and bed was really uncomfortable...

Booked the long room for our mum and dad's surprise golden wedding party (with 100 guests in attendance), the buffet was plentiful and enjoyed by all. Hotel staff were extremely helpful and special note must be made of Yvette Murphy who went above and beyond the call of duty to help us with the planning before the event and ensured...
