What a wonderful experience! On arrival we were upgraded to the honeymoon suite, a beautiful four poster bed with stunning views from the bedroom. Particularly enjoyed the fresh (warm) ginger cake and biscuits on arrival. For those that have dogs it's fantastic, they cater for all their needs including a doggy welcome pack. Whilst having dinner the reception staff look...

We had afternoon tea at the Devonshire Hotel and it was great. £8 per person so the kids shared our scones. The scones were perfection itself. Tea was lovely with gallons of hot water. Service was so friendly and helpful. Managed to get a little lost finding the loos but again staff so friendly. Many thanks.

“Breakfast was absolutely superb. The staff could not be more helpful and the surrounding countryside is beautiful. The spa facilities were excellent and combined to make the entire experience refreshing and relaxing for body and soul in equal measure.”

Our first of two annual stays at this magnificent hotel took place shortly before Easter. My exceedingly high opinion of this legendary institution is unaltered. To stay is simply a wonderful experience. On this occasion I would like to reiterate my very high opinion of all the staff; they have been well selected and rigorously trained: friendly (thankfully not familiar),...

This is a second Devonshire Arms we have been to and we have been delighted by the service and the extra touch added to make my husband's 70th birthday a pure delight. Not only did he get a treat so did our border collie Lassie. Paul and Alex made our dining experience fun and provided us with delicious suggestions. We...

We attended my cousins wedding here over the Easter weekend and stayed in the Beamsley room overnight. The hotel itself is lovely, everything you expect - cosy, country feel, beautiful decor, flowers, paintings, a perfect setting for a wedding. The wedding room was set out beautifully with scattered flower petals, candles and amazing flowers. The food was absolutely fantastic -...

Service was fantastic with the staff making sure all our needs were met. The room was nice but not the luxury I was expecting. Food was fine. It was overall a good stay but I probably would try somewhere else rather than return.

We found the Devonshire Arms while touring in Yorkshire. It certainly looks the part, with a very impressive setting, so we thought that we would treat ourselves to something a bit "up market". Ho hum, it's hard to specify but nothing was quite on the money - disappointing service and disappointing food. Maybe we expected too much, but it just...

I am not one for writing reviews, in fact this may be the first one. We recently got married at the Devonshire Arms and experienced the most perfect day. From the moment of booking the venue in Feb 2016, to the menu tasting, meeting with Vanessa the florist and Donna, visiting the venue with my parents and photographer to the...
