A lovely hotel. Very expensive but worth it. The Burlington Restaurant is a must if you're a foodie (the tasting menu and accompanying wines are decadent and superb) and service excellent. We went to celebrate my 40th birthday and had a thoroughly nice time. I was even left a box of chocolates in our room when staff realised it was...

Unfortunately we could not visit due to a very close family bereavement. My husband cancelled the booking and then received an email saying they could not refund the deposit but we could rebook by 12.00midday that day. The email was received at 1.30pm. At a time when we are grieving during a time of great shock this was not an...

This was our second visit to this hotel. The first stay was in a basic room which was very nice but looked out onto the car park. This time we upgraded and booked a deluxe room. To be honest the only deluxe thing about this room was the view which was fantastic! In fact the basic room was better. We...

We held our wedding in this venue last December. We had a beautiful day and the surrounding countryside looked wonderful. The wedding staff building up to and on the day were excellent. Generally everything ran smoothly, minor timing issues arose but nothing to spoil the day. We were very happy with the Devonshire and look forward to returning

Hotel set in beautiful grounds with the beauty of The Yorkshire Dales on the doorstep aswell as easy driving distances to Harrogate, Ilkley and Skipton. This hotel has a lot going for it. Decor lovely, spa days available, food good quality. Service friendly and polite. It's not cheap but you get what you pay for.

I dropped in for lunch last week and was impressed with the relaxed and friendly service. Nothing was too much trouble for Ruth the manager or Abigail our waitress. We took a while to choose (lots to choose from and talking too much!) but they were patient and courteous. I'll be back soon, especially now they stock my favourite soft...

I was convinced I'd already written this review. It doesn't matter that I hadn't but felt I must just to add to the plaudits already lauded upon this fantastic place. A warm welcome greeted us in the Christmassy and homely entrance. We had vouchers from our wedding and had upgraded as part of a deal. Sometimes you feel you get...
