What a welcome we received. It was a bit like coming home for the weekend as I remember it. Julia is a charming host and nothing seems too much trouble. The cottage has all the characteristics you'd expect from a house of this age and is certainly no ordinary B&B. Afternoon tea and home baked cake was fabulous after our...

We stayed with Julia for two nights over the bank holiday and were bowled over by her amazing hospitality. There were lovely tea and cakes on arrival, a great breakfast, and lots of useful local information. Big rooms, wonderful beds and linen and a lovely setting. Will be back.

Set in old-fashioned farmland owned by the Duchy of Lancaster, this is a delightful place to stay. Julia greets you with afternoon tea every day and takes a vey personal interest in her guests. After a couple of days you feel more of a friend than a customer. A capacious bedroom and bathroom contained ( almost ) everything you could...

Julia was wonderful to us on a recent weekend visit, chatty and friendly but not intrusive. The accommodation is clean full of old world charm, very comfortable and the breakfast is the best we have had for years. We would definately stay her again when in the area.

Stayed 1 night with Julia at her lovely house. Room was very comfortable and had everything required. She was so helpful, even taking us to Norton St Philip and collecting us later. The breakfast was the best ever and the long chat with Julia at that time was very entertaining. The garden looked wonderful but unfortunately it was raining. Would...

We read the TA reports and booked for the middle of October (2 nights) with two friends, planning for trips to Bath, Mells, Nunney, Babbington House, etc. Our double bedded room was in a converted " attic" which is fine for guests under 5' 9" but NOT for guests taller than that. The tight spiral stairs up to, and down...

An amazing 3 days in the delightful Hollytree Cottage with the superlative Julia cooking the best breakfasts my husband and I have ever had. Our room was small but perfectly charming, the bathroom spotlessly clean and the bed....was to die for! The utter peace you find here is second to none and I only wish there were more people like...

This is a really lovely place to stay. Our hostess was friendly and helpful and the cottage itself was absolutely delightful. We were welcomed when we arrived with generous helpings of chocolate cake and cups of tea. Breakfast was super and the rooms were comfortable and beautifully decorated. We will definitely return and heartily recommend Holly Tree Cottage.

This was the perfect antidote to the pressures of day-to-day life. Out of the way, but still accessible, it was one of the most comfortable and accommodating break we've had the pleasure of taking together. Highly recommended, with great access to Bath, amongst others spots nearby.

We stayed here for 2 nights and the bed was one of the most comfortable we'd slept in. Julia was the perfect hostess with helpful ideas re travel to Bath and places to visit. The cottage is really pretty and although we stayed in November you could see that the garden in the summer would be an absolute delight.
