Patrons frequently commend the cleanliness and sophisticated decor of its well-appointed rooms. While the rooms' size and basic amenities are occasionally critiqued, the attentive and friendly staff receive high marks for their exceptional service. We arrived at the hotel and were greeted warmly and registered. We were then given a little tour of the premises and escorted to our room.

The room, on the garden level, had a beautiful, unobstructed view of the sea, the neatly kept garden stretching in front of us.

Our room was small, and a little crowded, but very pretty, tastefully decorated and exceptionally clean with a comfortable bed and lovely linen.

There are a tv, and coffee and tea making facilities. Bottled water is provided.

The bathroom is spotless and though not spacious, efficient and modern with lovely products offered. Our room was cleaned daily to an immaculate standard. We asked for extra towels which were delivered cheerfully and promptly.

The main floor encompasses two dining rooms, a beautiful lounge that suggests an elegant New England flare, with comfy sofas and chairs.

There’s a fully stocked bar with it’s a couple of tables and an inviting, large porch that is wonderful for sea and coastal viewing.

We had breakfast daily, with excellent choices, served in the most exquisite, clean-looking presentation I’ve ever seen! Who knew a full English could look so elegant on a plate?!!

We ate dinner twice at the hotel, whose meal service is offered only to guests.

I cannot find the words to express the absolute delight these meals were. Each course we chose was incredibly delicious, exquisitely presented and beautifully served. We have eaten in some very well-known restaurants around the World, with famous chefs names attached to them. Resident Chefs, Raul Rusu and Andy Smith are utterly talented, creative cooks, who interpret dishes in the most astoundingly delectable ways!

The owner of the hotel, Katherine, is aimiable, friendly and unassuming, unpretentious of how wonderful she is and what a stunningly gorgeous her hotel is. She also prepares some of the condiments served on their irresistible “boards”, and she can whip up a dammed delicious fudge!

The staff are all friendly, hospitable and kind people and work as a team to give their guests an unforgettable experience.

Which brings me to Anne…she makes your reservation on the phone and is the first person I dealt with. I love her and now proudly call her my friend.

This wasn’t a formal, stuffy, pretentious place. The Boskerris is like your friends’ beautiful home, where you are free to enjoy their hospitality without intrusion, and they are so good at what they do that you don’t want to leave.

We visited Boskerris for a romantic getaway over the bank holiday weekend and we were not disappointed. We arrived slightly early (around 11) in our eagerness to see the sea, and in most hotels you would be curtly told to return in the afternoon. Yet here we were welcomed with open arms, immediately informed our room was being cleaned and would be ready shortly and taken out to the terrace to have a drink and soak in the view whilst we waited.
The view is absolutely incredible and I felt like I was in the south of France, enjoying a cold glass of wine whilst staring at the beautiful azure sea (the south of France parallel ended when I eventually went in the sea, it is freezing!!!!)
We paid extra for a sea view room, and if you can afford it is definitely worth it just for the delight of being woken up by the twinkling blue ocean. In our room we had all the amenities we could have wanted, and it was lovely and clean with a great bathroom. The breakfast the following morning was also great, croissants and breakfast oats followed by a choice of cooked breakfast (vegetarian options available).
All in all we had such an amazing short stay that as soon as we returned we decided to abandon our hopes of travelling abroad in September and instead return to our beloved Cornwall, staying at Boskerris this time for three nights. Fingers crossed the beautiful weather stays!

The delightful Catherine and all her staff work very hard to maintain an extremely high standard.
All the lovely ladies who work front of house are very friendly and extremely helpful. We stayed in a very nice sea view room which was kept beautifully clean and the bed and bedding felt very luxurious.
Breakfast was amazing as were the restaurant staff and we ate in the hotel twice in the evening. The chef is fantastic.. The food was incredible. We had the steak which which was so tender,Julia looked after us so well.
We had a wonderful 4 days. The terrace is a beautiful relaxing place for a drink overlooking the sea.
Almost wanted to keep it a secret but just had to write this review to say s big thankyou to all for making it a very special few days.

We loved our stay at the Boskerris.
The location on the hillside above Carbis Bay gives extraordinary panoramic sea views especially from the terrace. The exterior of the hotel and its garden are beautifully maintained. You just know that a lot of love is poured into this hotel.
The hotel’s furniture and fittings are all of the highest quality. Starting with the terrace there are comfortable outside sofas and cast iron tables and chairs - no plastic rubbish which you think may collapse under you at any moment.
In our room the shower was very good though it did lack a separate hand wand. It did have a good drench head and seemingly limitless hot water. The bed was excellent and we slept as soundly as we do in our Hypnos at home which doesn’t happen in most hotels. The wi-fi signal was generally acceptable but a bit patchy in parts of the hotel. Perhaps worth checking if another repeater is needed? Our tv was showing it’s age and when refurbishment allows a new Samsung would be a lovely touch. These are minor suggestions which for most hotels I wouldn’t even list but the Boskerris aims for the perfect holiday experience and I offer them as a genuine comment to a wonderful hotel.
The staff team at the Boskerris are what elevates the hotel from very, very good to superb. Catherine is a subtle, low key but very active manager who is to be seen around the hotel ensuring her team deliver the best experience to guests. If culture in a business comes from the top Catherine deserves a medal. The entire team from housekeeping, kitchen, serving and reception staff have an attitude of trying and succeeding in delivering as perfect a guest experience as they can.
Our main point of contact was Anne without whom our holiday would not have happened. Her ready smile and willingness to do anything she could to ensure the best possible holiday experience for us was something quite special. Thank you, just thank you.

My partner and I booked to stay for one night last minute in July 2021 on a whim. Little did we know we had booked to stay at a slice of heaven on earth.

We were greeted by the most wonderful staff member on arrival who gave us a tour of the hotel and outdoors space. Just Wow! If we were not already in awe of the place from the staff and the interior , the absolutely stunning sea view terrace truly topped off what was already perfection. Our room was equally as stunning.

From the moment we stepped into the building we were taken care of, nothing was a problem for the team and the owners should be extremely proud of them for how well they represent this establishment.

After a stressful year it takes a very special place to truly allow you to leave any stress or troubles at the door and fully relax and enjoy the moment .. the Boskerris has that ability.

We enjoyed a lovely breakfast overlooking the sea on the terrace and after a day exploring we returned to share a bottle of wine and star gaze.

St Ives bay is a short walk from the hotel and the coastal train to St Ives centre is even closer.

I have visited Cornwall many times and stayed at lovely hotels but if you are lucky enough to find availability at this hotel you will not regret booking , it really is faultless.

We look forward to returning and hope to stay for longer next time.

Best wishes to all the team and thank you again.

This hotel was recommended by friends who stay there regularly. I can see why. The hotel has the most amazing location, a fantastic terrace with a beautiful sea view. We were exceptionally fortunate with the weather, which enabled us to enjoy beautiful Carbis Bay beach. Beware, the climb back up the hill is a challenge! A couple of minutes walk takes you to the train station, where, for £1 return you can travel into St Ives and back. Its only a 3 minute journey and very scenic. The staff at the Boskerris make you feel so welcome. They were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food was exceptional, we had dinner in the hotel on both nights as it was so good. At breakfast, the chef even went out of his way to poach my eggs without the whites (as I don't like them), and i can honestly say this is the first time anyone has done that for me! Again we were lucky with the weather, so we were able to eat on the terrace, then watch the sun go down with a glass of wine. Our sea view room was small but beautifully decorated. We honestly cannot wait to return to this wonderful hotel, we had one of the nicest breaks that we have ever had, so thankyou everyone at the Boskerris for making it so special. The lovely and funny Katherine, Tracey, Anne, and another lady who checked us out (so sorry your name has slipped my mind). I would just like to add, i left important medication in my room. The hotel contacted me very quickly, and arranged for it to be sent to me within a couple of days, much appreciated. Wonderful place, lovely staff, looking forward to returning!

We had the most wonderful stay at Boskerris recently. Everything about the hotel is top class from the friendly welcome on arrival until you leave. The hotel is beautifully furnished, very light and airy, spotlessly clean with wonderful panoramic views of Carbis Bay and St Ives. The outside terrace is fabulous for taking in the views with attentive bar service and the inside reception areas are also perfect for relaxing and beautifully decorated. The bedrooms are lovely with ultra comfortable beds, luxury white bed linen and fluffy towels. Every little thing has been thought of to enhance your stay at Boskerris with lovely personal touches throughout.

The food and restaurant service is superb with top quality produce and fresh ingredients. Steve is a fantastic chef and we loved our breakfasts and evening meals.

This is a special hotel. Catherine and her staff are so friendly and attentive - it’s obvious that they all love working there and take pride in making your stay as perfect as possible. We look forward to our return visit!

Well how do I start with all the great things about this hotel, everything about it is just amazing. Firstly the lovely welcome on arrival and then to be shown around the hotel, is such a lovely touch. It is immaculate, from the decoration to the crisp white bed linen and I have never felt such thick, soft bath towels. The views over Carbis Bay are just stunning and it was lovely to sit out on the balcony and enjoy the views across to Hayle and the beautiful sunny weather we were lucky to have. The rooms are lovely and again the sea views are gorgeous. Best of all though is the food, we ate there 2 nights out of our 3 night stay and the steaks were perfect and again the staff were so helpful, chatty and nothing was too much trouble for them. You can tell that everyone takes pride in their role within the hotel and love their jobs. We will most definitely be returning here, one of the best long weekend stays we have ever had. Thank you to the wonderful staff for making our time with you memorable 😍

We stayed at Boskerris hotel at the beginning of August and had an amazing experience. When checking in we were welcomed by Anne who was so friendly and welcoming, we instantly felt at home and relaxed. We stayed in the superior sea view room and the room was immaculately clean and had the most stunning view over carbis bay and St Ives. Breakfast was always excellent with a choice of hot or cold and the restaurant was very good with well cooked and well presented food. This hotel really does feel different from others that we have stayed at, because it is small, it feels like you are more appreciated and valued as a guest and at Boskerris all of the staff cannot do enough for you. Small touches like providing beach towels, giving you a tour of the hotel and recommending local sights all makes you feel well looked after. We got engaged at Boskerris and the staff at the hotel went above and beyond to make it a special time for us both. I absolutely recommend making use of the beautiful terrace and having a few drinks at the hotel as it truly was so peaceful!

Thank you to all of the staff at Boskerris for making our 2021 summer holiday so special! We will definitely be back.

After a horrendous journey down to Cornwall due to bad weather and an accident en route, it was a huge relief to finally arrive at the Boskerris Hotel. From the moment we entered the hotel reception area we immediately felt a huge sense of welcome and started to relax. We booked the Superior room which had a fantastic sea view, and all the home comforts were included - home made biscuits, spotlessly clean room with a very comfortable bed, a wonderful bathroom with a lovely big shower, kettle, coffee machine, dressing gowns, slippers and an iron. The room was beautifully decorated to a very high standard. We ate in the hotel restaurant on the evening we arrived, and the food was superb with lovely friendly waitresses serving us. There is a bar area where you can relax and have a drink in the evenings, and if the weather is nice you can sit outside on the upper decking and enjoy the beautiful views of Carbis Bay in front of you. Breakfast in the morning was in the same restaurant area and the choices were excellent. They also cater for vegetarians and vegans too. Nothing was too much trouble for the friendly and helpful staff that looked after us while we stayed, and the use of their local taxi chap Matt from Matt's taxis made a huge difference for getting around the area and being able to relax without having to drive. Matt was very helpful and his knowledge of the area is excellent too. There is a train at the bottom of the hill behind the hotel within walking distance that you can catch into St Ives for a wander around the shops and which has plenty of places to eat too. It runs every 30 minutes along the coastal line all the way to St Erth with onward connections and back towards St Ives, stopping at various stops en route. On our final day we went to Porthmeor beach which has a surf shop where you can hire body boards, wetsuits etc, and it also has a cafe, toilets and changing rooms. The beach is life guard controlled so you feel safe there. We will definitely stay at Boskerris again as we had such a wonderful and relaxing time. Thank you to everyone at the hotel for making our stay so enjoyable - you're all so lovely! x
