We loved our stay at the Barcelo Nura hotel. The hotel is impeccable and very new and it shows. It is very calm and quiet (no fighting for sun loungers or a good spot here at any time of the day). The pools were virtually empty all day every day (as there are so many - and a lot of rooms have private pools). Nearly every room has a pool view from the door and is literally meters away from one in nearly all cases. We chose deluxe rooms which are really lovely. With a king bed and sofa bed for the kids. The staff are lovely and the food is really amazing. The set up for all inclusive is a bit strange but once you get used it it it was fine. The food was amazing for every meal. The only down side for us is despite being metres from the sea it's not near a beach and the rocks are really hazardous to clamber over. We only stayed for 4 nights as a family of 4 with our teenager and 10 year old and this was plenty. For us it was ideal for a short break (probably could not be easily beaten) but any longer and I think we would need to hire a car to see some of the island. The hotel was certainly a 5 star feel in every way and is quiet and very chilled all day and in the evenings. Salt water pools are a little strange also, but lovely and clean and different temperatures depending on which you device to go in. There is an interesting mix of pools too. The place generally feels almost like an adults only hotel. There were kids but not in huge numbers and mostly seems to be couples without children. I'd recommend this place for sure.

Overall it was a very pleasant experience; the food was actually lovely from the buffet. Room was big and the beds comfortable. Semi-private pool is lovely but very cold. Staff were generally really pleasant. There were just a couple of things that made our honeymoon not feel as special as it should. Upon entry to the room there were no robes, and a blood stain on the pillowcase was unpleasant. There should be an iron and ironing board in every room, even four star hotels have this. After receiving an iron, it was taken by cleaning staff 30 mins later before I had ironed anything. Aside from being greeted with 'happy honeymoon' at reception, nothing was done to note this until two hours after we checked into the room, which felt a bit like an afterthought. A chocolate sponge and half bottle of Freixenet doesn't scream five star either, especially when a full bottle only costs £10 in the UK. We were also not notified that we had been upgraded to all inclusive by our friends as a wedding present at reception, so that surprise was kind of ruined. This lack of attention to detail would be OK if we were staying in a four star resort, but the service just wasn't special enough to warrant full marks.

Dear James, We are glad to hear that you enjoyed the food from our buffet, found the room spacious and comfortable, and appreciated the friendliness of our team. We take pride in providing a pleasant stay for our guests, and your positive feedback is truly appreciated. However, we are sorry to hear about the issues you encountered during your stay. We apologize for the missing robes and the stained pillowcase, as well as the confusion with the iron. We have addressed these concerns with our housekeeping team to ensure that such incidents do not occur in the future. We also regret that the honeymoon surprise did not meet your expectations and that the notification about the all-inclusive upgrade was not properly communicated. We hope to welcome you again in the future. Best regards, Barceló Nura Management Team,

We booked the Barcelo Nura last minute after our planned holiday to Rhodes didn’t go ahead. We were absolutely delighted with this gem of a find! The design of the complex is such that even at full occupancy, it does not feel busy in the slightest. It makes for a truly relaxing holiday. The rooms are smart and immaculately clean with all you need for your stay - whatever you need (such as an iron or clothes drying rack) just ask and staff will assist. There are a number of pools to choose from and plenty of sun beds available at all times, the whole complex is spotlessly clean. The restaurant is fabulous ( we booked B&B but soon upgraded to half board) - the food selection for both breakfast and dinner was superb. There is a show cooking area too for specific dishes on request. The hotel is situated around 20-30 minutes from Punta Prima beach and there are only very few restaurants within walking distance. This is no problem if you have a car but otherwise the All Inclusive option is a very reasonable option which we will definitely take when we undoubtedly return. I cannot fault this hotel and all of its wonderful staff, thank you for a fantastic stay ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Firstly, the hotel and grounds are immaculate and very well presented, however we were very disappointed with our experience of the Barcello. We booked a week in a superior room at the hotel starting on the 19th of July which cost us more than £3500. The transfer company from the airport had no idea we were arriving however they managed to get us on a bus for the transfer to the hotel. On arrival there was one young girl trying to book us all in, and unlike other 5-star hotels we were not offered a glass of Champaign or a towel. After being booked in we were taken to our superior room which was immaculately decorated and furnished, however the view I can only describe as appalling, we were looking at a fence overlooked the carpark at the rear of the hotel. I immediately returned to the reception area and complained about the room, I was offered another alternative and was shown to a smaller room overlooking the pool, which we accepted. We were then informed by staff there would be a charge of 210 euros which I found completely unacceptable and was told this was the only room available when it was quite clear the hotel was nowhere near capacity. We reluctantly paid the 210 euros and move to the other room some 2 hours after arriving. For a supposedly 5-star hotel the room was very disappointing, there was no robes or slippers which you would expect and I had to return to reception to request them, there was nothing in the complimentary fridge bar and this was the case for the whole week, on a positive note the house keeping was excellent.

Breakfast at the buffet restaurant was very nice and dinner by the pool bar was excellent, however it was the same menu every day. The evening offering was not to the standard I expected, limited choice and on occasions cold, I have never been to a 5-star hotel that doesn’t offer a soup with the evening meal, therefor we eat out on several occasions. I also found it strange that for such a large hotel there was only one bar open at a time, and you had to wait a long time on occasions to be served ,I can only put this down to staffing issues .A major issue was that there was no water immediately available you had to wait at the bar or wait for a member of staff to come along to order. I do appreciate this is a new hotel and you can expect teething issues and I hope they get it right because it’s such a beautiful place to stay with some very friendly staff.

Hotel and resort is very nice, all nice and new, that’s the good bit!

The food and house keeping is poor. Not enough staff to offer a five star experience, despite the cost of staying here!

No drink service by the pool!

No replenishment of tea coffee, room cleaning is just replacement of towels.

Rooms are for two people only, a third makes it uncomfortable!

Food is poor, as is the service, often not asked if we wanted a drink with dinner, tables not cleaned quickly enough. No way in this world is this a five star resort, 2 pushing three at the most.

There was a fire in the sauna during our stay, yet they decided to keep the spa and gym open which absolutely stunk of smoke and burning and must have posed a health and safety risk. The gym and spa we’re unusable.

Nothing to do for kids outside of the pools! Not even an ice cream option to buy.

Nearest supermarket is a 30 min walk! Completely cut off, taxis are impossible of a weekend.

All in, there is much better places to stay for £6k for a week than here.

Wouldn’t come again for the money! This is not five star by any stretch.

Disappointed is my overall assessment.

An absolutely beautiful hotel with great facilities and lovely staff working so hard to make everything here feel as good as it looks. This was our first visit to Menorca and we were looking for somewhere quiet, relaxing and where we could eat, drink and enjoy a break from normal life. This hotel delivered in every aspect. We stayed in a superior room, with a small terrace and a private garden with sun loungers. The room itself was very big, with a great bathroom and very effective air conditioning which was perfect at night. Because we had the sun loungers in the fairly private garden, we didn't actually use the loungers by any of the pools. It was just a 30 second walk to the nearest pool whenever we got too hot and fancied a swim. There are pools everywhere and all of them were quiet. Definitely no need to get up early to reserve a lounger. We stayed all inclusive which was perfect for us. We didn't have a car and so were happy just to stay at the hotel most of the week. All the food was good, especially the breakfast in the dining room and the lunches at the lobby bar. The evening meal was good too, if you like high quality buffet food then you will be happy here. One word of warning, don't eat breakfast outside due to the wasps. Fortunately by the evening they've all gone home and we ate outside every evening. Special mention to the roof terrace bar. A truly spectacular place to have a drink before dinner while the sun goes down and then head back after eating for another drink and maybe to watch some of the entertaining live performers. Final mention again to the amazing people who work here, from the receptionists to the housekeepers, the bartenders and the lovely restaurant servers, they made us feel so welcome and looked after us perfectly, even when extremely busy at certain times of the day. The area is very quiet and if we came back we would probably hire a car to explore the island more. You can easily walk 20 minutes to small towns in either direction along the coast if you want to do something different, and we did that a couple of times, but to be honest we were just happy to hang out at the hotel most of the week. In summary, if you are looking for a top quality, peaceful and utterly relaxing place to stay, this is it. We will be back I'm sure.

We loved our stay at Barceló Nura! On arrival we were greeted by friendly staff, champagne and a cool cloth wipe 😊

We stayed in a junior suite, which had its own pool and sunbathing terrace and balcony, fab in these covid times, but the hotel has several pools, all stunning, all lovely and quiet.

We stayed half board and the food is amazing, seriously amazing! The quality and variety at all meals was exceptional and plentiful, you’ll not starve! I can get a bit bored of hotel food when it’s all inclusive but not here, its 5*.

We also had a spa experience included with our booking where we had the whole spa to ourselves! Fab! It has a sauna (lovely, clean and hot) jacuzzi etc it was very good. I booked a reflexology session with Maria and a deep tissue massage for my partner, Maria is lovely, very friendly and knowledgeable, it was a great experience 😊

All the staff at Barceló are lovely, nothing is too much trouble, they’re very friendly.

The hotel is walking distance to Binibeca Val, which is a stunning, white building fishing village and about 30-40 mins walk by the sea and a Punta Prima is 25 minutes walk.

I’d definitely stay again, but I’d stay for longer! ❤️

I feel I needed to write and tell me about our experience last week at your hotel. The hotel was very well planned and designed the 1st few days it was not very busy breakfast and lunch was fine but 1st two nights of our all inclusive stay the dinner buffet was very sparse hardly anything on offer. The last 2 nights it was better as there were more guests in the hotel. Why ? As this is supposed to be a 5 * hotel they offered a pool service for drinks via an app. This hardly ever worked and on the last 2 days never worked. The last day we went for lunch and after waiting an hour we had still not had any food ! In the evenings the room top bar was open but again 1 waitress and 1 bar man serving I counted over 50 people with table service ! As you can image it was horrific! Staff were very nice but just not enough of them ? Ive been with Tui loads of times but this was the worst described hotel and the worst service. I did after the lunch time hour wait go and speak to Manager and in a very nice way try and say the service was just not up to scratch for the price we paid he said he would investigate and get back to me ! Still waiting ! The final morning summed it up we were checking out at 7.10 am when we arrived at reception at 6.50 I wondered if I could grab a coffee it took the staff 10 min and coffee did not arrive before our bus. Lovely facilities and accommodation let down by service and lack of staff disappointing as was expecting a 5* experience for our 20th Wedding Anniversary ! 😡 Very disappointed I’ve not hear from you after my conversation with your manager.

I would definitely suggest this structure for the amazing place it is but the service could be definitely improved. The hotel is amazing, the room we chose (junior suite) was definitely the best room we could have asked for our stay in Menorca and everything is exactly how it is showed by the pictures in the website.
Unfortunately we arrived when the hotel had been open for a couple of weeks and we think there was a lack of attention in the service. The restaurant for the dinner service changed from one day to another (from à la carte options to just buffet and the buffet lacked in variety of food) and no one informed the guests, the bar changed its hours service for meals and once again no one informed the guests. When we ordered at the bar the waiting time has always been pretty long, even just for a couple of drinks.
The room cleaning was overall good and the personnel was very friendly and helping.
At the reception desK Frank and Vanessa have always been very willing and helpful and for what concerns the staff from the restaurant Gaston was the best waiter we could have asked for, always very friendly and willing to chat.
Despite some lacks in the service that we were not expecting from a 5 stars structure (pool towels not available to be changed etc) the whole stay was very pleasant and the beauty of the structure is definitely worth the stay at Barcelo Nura.
Little tip if you're traveling to Menorca: be sure to rent a car/scooter in advance if you want to visit the island because the taxi service doesn't work as it should be and a taxi could take hours to arrive.

Dear Guest, First of all we would like to thank you for the time spent in reviewing our Barceló Nura hotel and to check that the overall stay with us was good. As remarked by you, the hotel opened de 15th of July 2021, and some details were just to be defined while our guests were already enjoying their vacations. We regret if some changes during your stay affected your good perception of our service. The entire hotel team, as well as the staff who work at Barceló hotel Group, put a lot of dedication and effort into the day-to-day activities both in organizational and communication tasks for the safety and tranquillity of our guests as well as in taking the best decisions when adapting our services. However, we understand that this can be challenging and although we are doing our best, some guests may not feel 100% comfortable. Despite this, we are pleased to see that our staff has managed to positively surprise you, providing a professional and quality service that meets your expectations. We hope to have the opportunity of welcoming you for a more memorable stay in future. Kind regards, Equipo de Dirección Barceló Nura

Hotel has good facilities but then lots of bizarre schedules with restaurants and bar. Breakfast finishes at 11am and then restaurant only opens at 13h30 for lunch, so no food between breakfast and lunch time is available. By the pool the bar only serves food after 15h30 so you are forced to take the lunch buffet which is underwhelming
