We were entirely pleased with our stay in this beautiful home in the Cotswolds. The rooms were luxurious and cozy. The hosts were very welcoming and super helpful with advice on what to do in the wintertime around the cotswolds, they helped us make dinner reservations and even let us use their boots to have an amazing walk by the...

As a Family of 5, we needed something that was child friendly as well as close to the main attractions in the area. The hosts were welcoming and friendly, offering us a full English breakfast in the morning, and allowing us to chose at what time we had it, which is perfect for any family of our size. The huge...

We spent a night as a family of 5 right under the rooftops of this splendid estate. The kids reveled in the garden which was endless when coming from a London house! The breakfast was more than we could expect and the company of our hosts was charming and interesting. We'll come again!

My husband and I stayed here for my best friend's wedding weekend. We were able to check in early and was met by Fran's very lovely son. The house it beautiful - a typical English country home set in incredible surroundings. The room was big, cosy and well decorated, with tea and biscuits waiting on arrival. The best part of...

I stayed here a few weeks ago. It is a beautiful B&B, I received a really warm welcome and nothing was too much trouble, Infact Angus went above and beyond directing the taxi driver at 1am, when he got lost! The room was huge and I slept so comfortably. Breakfast was delicious and cooked perfectly. Homemade jam was a really...

Our home was overrun by family and guests at a wedding we hosted at the end of last month, and by the Monday we just had to beat a retreat. Peter and Franny's house fitted the bill perfectly, as it is just up the road. Comfortable bed, terrific breakfast, oasis of calm - before we reluctantly went back home. It...

Fran and Pete made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived. They gave the impression that nothing was too much trouble. A lovely location, and the hotel contained lots of quirky artefacts and hidden gems. Breakfast was fantastic also. I would highly recommend this place, particularly for families and couples.

Great location and Juno made us feel welcomed like old friends. A family run friendly house. It was great being able to take the dog and she could wander around the garden (avoiding the chickens). We had a lovely evening and next morning a superb cooked breakfast with freshly laid eggs and homemade preserves. On arrival Juno had made banana...

We were looking for a typical English weekend with friends from outside of the UK, and were lucky to get the Finial House on short notice. Fran is so friendly, and the very first conversation with her on booking the place made us feel comfortable. The house itself is so charming, the rooms are very well maintained. We were served...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Finial House is a 17th century former Rectory opposite the bowling green in the quiet rural cotswold village of Broadwell near Burford (A40) 6 miles. The Cotswold Wildlife Park and the upper reaches of the River Thames are 3 miles away. London is 70 miles away.We run a friendly and relaxed family house with a large mature garden, with herbaceous borders, croquet lawn, hard tennis court and surf swing. There are many lovely Cotswold walks and the Thames footpath is close by; fabulous for walking, picnicing and boating. We keep an Edwardian punt on the river which is available for use by our guests in the summer months. The countryside around us is also great for cyclists who wish to explore the surrounding lanes and villages. Riding and Polo are nearby. ... more   less
