We stayed here when we visited Kelmscott Manor. Friendly staff and comfy bedrooms with pleasant decor - they offer complimentary tea and coffee in the bar. Quite a bit of dust/cobwebs in room 1 - bedside lamps, mirror, ceiling corners and the rail in the wardrobe all need dusting. Annoying mini dustbin in the bathroom which was very noisy every...

Our regular party of about ten (retired colleagues on their monthly get-together lunch) were pleasantly surprised recently and that's not easy for such a discerning bunch of seniors. The quality and choice of fare was excellent for a Tuesday lunch time. The staff were so friendly and professional. To top it all - how many pubs at a lunch time...

Just back from a very relaxing weekend at the plough. If you're out for a drive, you'll never find it, but trust me, go out of your way to discover this hidden gem. The staff were incredibly happy and helpful in every way. The room was beautiful and the food, out of this world. I've never stayed in a village...

Ambience and quality of the food in a pub/restaurant would be difficult to fault. But manageress decided to take a quiet time in the restaurant to give her staff a dressing down, one by one. Only stopped when I told her to take staff issues into the kitchen! Apology followed when I told her that that was no way to...

Another excellent lunch in our Monday review. Highly recommend. All four of us had superb food. I had scallops followed by roast cod with mussels and samphire followed with sticky toffee pudding. All home made and very reasonable. £144 for 4 people including wine. Great!!

What a lovely place. We had an excellent meal in the restaurant which is cosy and welcoming. The food was tasty, hot and well presented served by attentive friendly staff. When we saw they do a pie night we booked straight away for the end of the month. Can't wait !!!

An overnight stay for us on a trip, very clean and tasteful room, evening meal selection was very difficult as such a choice on offer, great food, beware breakfast is fabulous but large, happy helpful staff. Thank you, we will return.

I have eaten her for Sunday lunch with my children and also for evening dinner a few times. We have been here over the past 10 years it was good then dropped off but the new people are brilliant. The food is interesting and good quality and the serving staff very pleasant. Best to book though. They have The Bull...

A most attractive and pleasant ambiance, tempting menu with all manner of treats on it; most pleasant, helpful and attentive staff. The free, fresh-baked still-hot bread when we first arrived was a delicious surprise but almost a meal in itself! The main bar, adjacent to the restaurant, seemed busy and popular with local people; the pretty outside areas were appealing...

We stayed at the Plough as part of our walk along the Thames Path. So we were looking for a comfortable stay with some good food after a long day's walk. The Plough exceeded all our expectations. The room was very comfortable and with what looked like a recently redesigned ensuite, we were able to have a lovely shower at...
