I stayed here with a large group of about 175 people in late December, 2015. It is customary even in the US to make reservations, especially when traveling in groups, during the high season, holidays, and weekends. The hotel looks grand from the outside but the rooms are sub-par for the price. The so called 'tourist' hotels in Korea tend to charge for simple amenities such as shampoo. We find this strange because much cheaper motels and pensions provide a lot, coffee/tea packets, a hot water pot, toothpaste, shampoo and often a plastic toilet case with razor...

We stayed here as part of the Media team for the Rowing World Championships, so paid a rate far higher than would be normal. Booked half board, so as to have a choice of food - but they insisted on trying to serve us a plate of ready prepared western food, giving no choice whatsoever. Gave up in the end,...
