Rooms we all independent cabanas, comfortable beds, very Island Feel, Bathroom was interesting, felt like it was outdoor, but really indoors (shower portion at least). WIFI only worked in the Lobby, but best you can hope for as Easter Island is so remote. A bit pricey, but main issue may be that to get to town required a cab or...

I stayed at the Altiplanico for a week in early June and highly recommend it. It is located about a 30 minute walk from town-- but what a walk! You pass by two moai sites along the shoreline and the views at sunset are breathtaking. The hotel is an interesting mix of rustic and modern. Each room is a separate...

The main building is truly Polynesian--with a view overlooking the Pacific Ocean. One really realizes how remote the island is, and how insignificant we all are when surrounded by the elements. I do not think I will ever feel so far away from it all again. With ocean breezes and over head fans, I had a lot of trouble prying...

The setting is quiet and just outside of town. The cabanas are spacious with private baths and even outdoor showers. The grounds are beautiful and from the dining area and pool there is a spectacular view of a Moai with the Pacific behind it. From the hotel, you can walk along the shoreline to Ahu Tahai but its a hike....

Let me begin by saying that if you want luxury on Easter Island then you should go to the Explora Hotel. Period. You'll pay the price but you'll have the amenities you may desire. However, if you are looking for a moderately priced hotel that is perfectly adequate but a bit quirky the Altiplanico is worth your consideration. First of...

This hotel is around 7 years old, and being in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, is beginning to show the effects of humidity in the bathroom. Other than the bed being so low that my arthritic knees had a hard time getting in and out, the hotel was very nice. The grounds were pretty, the bedroom even had mosquito...

Our travel agent booked us in to Altiplanico The hotel is a series of well maintained cabins. The dining room was about 1/2 a km from the ocean with lovely views including a Moai. The hotel is an interesting 30 minute walk from the city centre along the ocean front with some very interesting Moai sites. The sites made more...

I stayed here with my wife for our honeymoon last April. The staff was very friendly and the hotel is nice but they have a serious problem with the insects. We had every day our bed full of ants and little spiders. We told that in reception and they said it's normal. I can understand to find some bugs in...

We stayed at this hotel after moving from another hotel cabanas pikeri uri. Hence we'd like to compare these two - one cheaper but more local while altiplanico is a more luxury one. First altiplanico contains a worthwhile luxury look and condition but we felt less personal touch compared to pikeri. Second the view at altiplanico has great view similar...

It cost 3times the Price of Restaurants in Hanga roa Center. Apart from that, they Show Prices only in US Dollars! A Beer e.g. 6$.
