Winton House bed and breakfast provides elegant accommodation on the edge of the Cotswolds, just 6 miles from Stratford-upon-Avon in the lovely village of Upper Quinton.Winton House is a historic Victorian farmhouse built in 1856. Featuring spacious, comfortable rooms which still have many of the original 19th Century features, the house is warm and welcoming.
Unfortunately this was not a good experience. The breakfast ladies were lovely - friendly and helpful - but the rest of the stay was not very nice. The house was very cold, the bedrooms were cold too and the radiator in the little en suite was on a timer which didn't come on early enough to warm up for the morning showers. Both windows were covered in running condensation in the morning and so the frames were covered in black mould. The owner (?) was not very welcoming, didn't show us where the lounge was ( we had to explore to find out) but it was far too cold to sit in there anyway. He did not appear to say 'goodbye' when we left. All in all, not a good atmosphere.

We had an enjoyable stay at Winton House. Its a beautiful home and located in a nice, quiet area. It offers lot of options for walking around the place and admiring other houses also. The hosts are a nice family and breakfast was wholesome. Very easy to find, and a with a car, we can drive down to nearby spots in Cotswolds

Very enjoyable Bank holiday weekend break. Stayed at this lovely BB set in gorgeous countryside . Bed was very comfortable and the establishment was very clean . Hosts were charming too and you were made very welcome! Set in Upper Quinton but short drive to Stratford upon Avon. Pub nearby that you could walk to , but bear in mind you are in the countryside so not much Street lighting if walking back at night The pub , The College Arms , also had an Indian restaurant on site which was very good and was reasonably priced ! Various places listed to visit and eat at but bear in mind you are not in Stratford you are on the outskirts . Lots of places to visit too. Car definitely required but parking available.

Excellent location in the small hamlet of Upper Quinton. Lovely views of Meon Hill. Nice sized room but stifling as you can only open the sash window about 5 inches up. Understand the reason for that as we were in a family room. Breakfast was good hosts are really nice chatty couple. Big crack in the bathroom wall that needs filing and repainting plenty of parking. Stratford is 7.5 miles away. You can walk to the village pub in Lower Quinton in 20 mins

Everything at Winton House was perfect and charming, but beyond anything the care and kindness of the friendly hosts (Alex and family). Rooms were clean, with bathroom and shower. Parking available. Breakfast options and availability very nice, all with the home touch. But more than anything the hosts, who were so kind to us in a difficult situation for our family. The location of Upper Quinton is a bit far away from everything, but nothing that a car cannot solve with 5-10 minutes drive. Stratford-upon-Avon is 10 minutes away and the place is at the entrance of the Cotswolds.

Stayed here for 3 nights whilst working in the area. The room was spotless and plenty of space, great choice of TV channels, bed was super comfy. Breakfast was amazing and the lady serving was really helpful and nothing was too much trouble for her. Would definitely stay again.

Lovely building, nicely decorated and presented. The owners and their staff are all very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are quite spacious. Everything was clean and there's nothing I can complain about. The breakfast was simple - yet delicious. The poached eggs were fantastic! Fresh from the coop that morning! Our stay was very nice and relaxed, which is what we wanted. So to the team - thank you.

stayed this weekend and honestly my heart sank , the house and rooms need a lot of TLC , i didnt want to look under the sheets as i had no other option but to stay , if you like cats then you will be ok as there is a cat that seems to have the run of the house it was awful , when we arrived and went up the stairs it was laying on our friends bed which put them off straight away as well, the cat was always about everywhere . no money has been put into the house for many years the furniture in the bedrooms is terrible as well old and grubby . sorry no good things to say about this place and i certainly will be keeping well away . Sorry only good thing about this place is the two lovely girls that did breakfast it was 1st class not many people can do poached and scrambled eggs perfect but these girls are magic . well done them , only thing good. oh and the photo on the web site lol there are no 4 poster beds just grubby second hand wood ones…
