Ate here in Sept '14 After the reviews was really looking forward to it but left feeling a bit disappointed. The location is fabulous, the staff were lovely but at about £30 per head for lunch in what is in effect a bar I was expecting a bit more from the kitchen. Starters were priced around the £6 mark. I...

A country hotel located in beautiful country side. Very warm and friendly staff. Food is excellent in the restaurant, extensive selection for breakfast. Very reasonably priced for bed and breakfast. If you are looking for a quiet getaway this hotel would fit the bill

We arrived here late after experiencing a rear motorcycle tyre puncture that caused a delay. We were greeted by very friendly staff and following a quick change enjoyed a very welcome meal of high quality with drinks in the lounge next to an open fire. The next morning, following a lovely breakfast, we discovered that the temporary puncture repair carried...

Always live the food and atmosphere here. New maître de dark hair and beard what a charmer and adds to the appeal of the restaurant. He recommended the specials etc and knew the wines too. The food and service had slipped recently but we gave it another chance and are so glad we did. Back to its former glory with...

Stopped here just for one night with my son. We were up in Scotland to watch racing at Knockhill and this seemed to be a reasonably close hotel with good reviews. We were not disappointed. The room was spacious and clean and the welcome warm. The only issue was that we could hear some noise from the next room but...

Popped into the Tormaukin for an early evening meal. Phoned before we arrived, table not a problem. It was only a Tuesday evening but the restaurant became very busy by the time we had finished. The meal was excellent and the staff very pleasant and helpful.

We had a one night stop over at this lovely Inn and wished we were staying longer. It was unbelievable good value for money. The staff were lovely and the room big enough for four adults. Breakfast was incredible and we are all still talking about it now! The best breakfast we have ever had in any hotel! We will...
