Having booked for a night at the Waterfront hotel we were disappointed to find out that we had been transferred to the Woodlands only after the booking had been made. Our room was reasonable and the bed comfortable. Unfortunately the shower was a dribble and so hot you couldn't get under it . We had an evening meal in the Olive restaurant which was ok though the menu was not that inspiring. Breakfast was good. Thanks also for the complimentary bottle of wine.

The conference facilities here were good, the venue offers a very nice, modern space. The food at breakfast and lunch was far better than what is usually on offer at conference. The bedrooms, however, were pretty average and lacking in some areas. There was no fridge in the room, nothing like cotton buds, cotton wool pads, etc. offered. The sound proofing was ok as I managed to sleep but you could definitely hear what was happening in the corridor. The room was too cold to sleep and it wasn't clear how to get the heater working so I had to call reception up at midnight to help, after them getting on the floor to find an obscure switch under the table it finally worked. The TV could have been better and offered one which lets you browse the TV guide, pause and rewind TV. The lighting in the room was not great for trying to get ready so I recommend you bring your own solution for that. Decor was grey and drab, I prefer something brighter. No toilet brush in the room which wasn't a problem for me but could easily be one for many people. Reception is not always manned so when you are physically there and want something you sometimes have to go hunting for staff. Other than this the room was ok and seemed reasonably clean.

I'll start with the positive, the staff were fantastic - really friendly and welcoming. Bar and outside area were nice enough places to relax. The negatives: extremely soft bed which felt like I was going to fall out of every time I moved in the night. Cheap, uncomfortable pillows. Hot, uncomfortable sheets. The nearby dual carriageway means you have a choice of being awoken all night by passing traffic at 70mph, or overheating in your room with the windows closed (make sure you ask for a room on the car park side of the hotel instead). No fridge in the room. Breakfast began serving at 7am, too late for us when we needed a 7am departure. The hotel is advertised as having access to the facilities at a nearby leisure centre - unfortunately, when the check in is at 3:30pm and the leisure centre closes at 4pm, this does not give you a very big window of opportunity.

Was invited for a training session by our Company, the reception were warm and friendly, very helpful in guiding. The room was clean and tidy, had the basic essentials and amenities, no mini bar, comfortable bed, extra pillow if required. Complimentary two small still water bottles daily. Free wifi, unfortunately I didnt have time to visit the pool. Overall it was a nice stay. Breakfast buffet was good with a nice spread. One of the most unforgettable thing during my stay were the complimentary triple chunk Belgian cookies....simply yum!

Right next to the training centre I was using. Rooms are small but adequate. Surprisingly quiet at night considering it’s right next to the A1. Surroundings are nice with grassy areas and lakes. Food was buffet style as it was included in the training course. Food was good home made food and quite a good variety. Drinks seemed quite expensive. Good bar area with dance floor and games room. This is suited for conferences and training courses.
