The rooms are very special, all very rustic, a fire place and an amazing view to the water hole. From the panoramic window (of room 4) you can watch the animals go and take their bath or just enjoy the view. I had an amazing outside terrace to chill in the afternoon with a nice glass of wine before heading...

The rooms are rustic with terrific views along with all sorts of animals visiting the water hole. Food is good with a very friendly warm staff who are all willing to help. Game drives are terrific with an attention to detail and spotting the animals you want to see. Horse riding here is simply the best - Out of Africa!

Our first stop during a trip to Kenya and Uganda was at Borana and it was fantastic. The huts are large and comfortable. The staff is uniformly friendly and welcoming. The food is deliciously fresh. We were fortunate to have Lawrence as our guide. He took us on numerous game drives, spotting lion, rhino, elephants, zebra, giraffe and many more...

Borana Lodge is a wonderful place. The staff is very professional and kind. Lawrence, my guide, was very reliable and knowledgeable. The food was amazing and served in good quantity. I enjoyed so much to eat organic and local food. Sharing the meals with the other guests is a great idea and we were always a few to have lunch...

We arrived at Borana without knowing what to really expect as this was our first time in Africa. We were given a very warm welcome and immediately made to feel at home. After being collected at the airstrip by our guides Albert and Phillip (who were utterly outstanding for the whole of our stay at Borana) we were taken back...

Dear Lynne. Thanks so much for your review on Borana. We're really pleased that Albert and Phillip took good care of you whilst out on game drives. Sorry that the electricity kept on switching off, we had to change that hair dryer as it was pulling too much power from the inverter system. We hope that the good views from...

Breathtakingly beautiful Borana is set up in the hills and therefore quite a different experience than in the savannah. The staff, Hunter and Florence were welcoming and fun. Our room was so cozy, with a huge bathroom and views to kill! We especially loved coming back each night to a roaring fire and hot water bottles in our beds. Our...

Just back from a wonderful time at Borana Lodge. The setting is spectacular, with cottages and the main lodge overlooking a dramatic escarpment and a dam at the bottom where animals congregate to rest, bathe, drink and play. We spent an entire afternoon observing a parade of about thirty elephants with young ones taking mud baths, playing in the water,...

I wish I could love our stay here, but I just couldn't. We went to two lodges on this safari and this one was worse than the first, by far. Both were in the Laikipa area. However, the game here was much "worse" than the other lodge. The first lodge, we saw lots and lots of animals every time we...

Great location. Spend the afternoon by the pool. We rented bikes and was able to ride with animals in the Savanna. We hiked to Pride Rock, used in the movie Lion King. Staff was great. Gift shop authentic and unique. We were treated with kindness and appreciation.

At 2000m we knew it was going to feel like an adventure, staying at Borana, but we were blown away when we arrived. You actually arrive at the top and then climb your way down to your room and it is then that the awesomeness of your position is revealed, as the huge windows frame a huge view to the...
