An elegantly renovated 16th century wool mill, the Hotel Il Cavalier D'Arpino is located in the historic centre of Arpino, birthplace of Cicero. Set in a strategic location between Rome and Naples, the city of Arpino, Orange Flag of Touring Club Italy, is surrounded by rolling hills and lush countryside. Dating back to the 7th century, the city is rich in history and offers you a trip back in time. The hotel offers elegantly appointed rooms with all the modern amenities, yet in the "arte povera" style recreating the welcoming atmosphere and grandure of a recidence of its original epoch. The tastefully decorated halls and its adjacent park are the perfect setting for wedding receptions, special ceremonies and gala events of all types. At the same time the Cavalier D'Arpino offers a restful and relaxing holiday in a setting of ancient and modern art and culture further enhanced by its secular park which provides its patrons hours of pleasant walks or quiet time sitting on one of its quaint benches to meditate and reflect on the myriad beauties of nature... A memorable experience in a unique setting!

We will definitely be returning when in Arpino. We had two rooms across the hall from one another. We loved how spacious and clean the rooms and bathrooms were. The breakfast room was beautiful and the breakfast that was served was excellent. This is a very charming hotel with beautiful grounds. Sonia and the staff are very cordial and available to answer any questions. The cleaning staff always did a lovely job. The city of Arpino offers a lot of character. You won't be disappointed.

Very charming hotel, the building used to be an old industrial site but now has the feeling of an old Palazzo. Nice garden. Very clean and well kept, it is walking distance from the center of Arpino which is worth a visit. Staff extremely helpful. Free parking. It doesn’t have a restaurant but there are a few Trattoria in Arpino.

The hotel is quaint and charming. Arrival at hotel is parking on the side of hotel however is limited so we parked mainly on the street which wasn't a problem. They did not have service for the luggage so I suggest to pull up, unload luggage and then park. The hotel is quaint and the rooms were clean however, a bit dated in a double room. The restaurant for breakfast was buffet style and plenty to choose from. The owner is there 24/7 and always eager to help. Overall a charming hotel.

A lovely hotel which has been converted from an old wool factory. Very friendly welcome. Off-road parking and nice adjacent garden with seating. Our family room was very comfortable and clean, price was very reasonable and included breakfast. Arpino itself is a beautiful town with great charm and atmosphere.

Gorgeous, traditional hotel in the small town of Arpino. The staff are amazing, so helpful and friendly. Rooms are clean and quite spacious by Italian standards. Plenty to choose from at breakfast. Beautiful gardens. An enjoyable stay.

Sonia and her family were such gracious hosts. Their hotel is WONDERFUL! Comfortable, intimate and so friendly. We appreciated having the lounge area on the 3rd floor to gather before heading out for meals and adventures. Our only regret was we couldn't stay longer, and we are already anxious to return. Every recommendation was perfect. We appreciated having an easy place to park our rental car, and the breakfast each morning was such a tasty and relaxing way to start our day. Thank you, Hotel Il Cavalier and Sonia!

I absolutely loved this hotel. The garden is beautiful, the rooms are charming and well supplied with everything we needed. Sonya the owner is an incredible hostess who couldn't go enough for us. I loved the breakfast room downstairs and the fact that they have a little tea room open all day if needed. I would often go there for a cup of tea to bring back to the room. I truly loved every moment of my stay at this hotel and will be making reservations again in the future. Thank you for these wonderful memories!

The Hotel forms part of a beautiful old building a short walk from the main Piazza of Arpino. The staff are all extremely friendly and helpful, contributing to a warm, homely atmosphere. The Hotel is clean, orderly and easily accessible, with ample parking space and a nice gardaen area. The rooms are spacious and have air conditioning units installed. Overall the Hotel was perfect for what I wanted and I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Arpino.

We are staying here for one week and already the customer service, quality of accommodation and delicious breakfast have us totally satisfied. In all of our stays to Italy, including Florence, Rome, Venice, Lucca, Meta and San Gimigniano, this bed is by far the most comfortable. Further to breakfast, we really appreciate the diverse food groups, including proteins as our Canadian breakfasts are not normally pastry-laden. These breakfasts allowed for diverse and tasty eating. (I did try their home-made cakes of course.. delicious!) The host greeted me by name today. Classy!
