An elegantly renovated 16th century wool mill, the Hotel Il Cavalier D'Arpino is located in the historic centre of Arpino, birthplace of Cicero. Set in a strategic location between Rome and Naples, the city of Arpino, Orange Flag of Touring Club Italy, is surrounded by rolling hills and lush countryside. Dating back to the 7th century, the city is rich in history and offers you a trip back in time. The hotel offers elegantly appointed rooms with all the modern amenities, yet in the "arte povera" style recreating the welcoming atmosphere and grandure of a recidence of its original epoch. The tastefully decorated halls and its adjacent park are the perfect setting for wedding receptions, special ceremonies and gala events of all types. At the same time the Cavalier D'Arpino offers a restful and relaxing holiday in a setting of ancient and modern art and culture further enhanced by its secular park which provides its patrons hours of pleasant walks or quiet time sitting on one of its quaint benches to meditate and reflect on the myriad beauties of nature... A memorable experience in a unique setting!

The warm welcome is the highlight of this historic hotel. Run great by Sonia and Rodolfo, owners of the structure.

The rooms are simple and spacious. The spacious bathroom. Room well stocked with the right comforts.

Beautiful internal park, well maintained even in winter. Parking is free.

Breakfast is served in an ancient room and Cristina - attendant of the room - is very professional.

Sweet and savory breakfast well stocked and delicious.

We came at Christmas time and the decorations at reception and in the other common areas, make you feel the taste of Christmas when you were little.

Central hotel. You visit the city with ease. By car you can reach the magnificent nearby places.

The value for money is unbeatable.

Highly recommended.

Stayed for 5 nights, room was clean, comfortable, AC worked great and it had a great view. Absolutely no smell of mold or mildew. Breakfast every morning consisted of pastries, coffees, some ham/hardboiled eggs, cereal and juices.
Cons - a tight shower stall and hallway noises could easily be heard.
Great value for money.

For my wife's birthday I chose, by chance, since she likes period homes, the Cavalier d'Arpino hotel and it was a winning choice! As soon as we arrived, Mrs. Sonia welcomed us, a person of infinite sweetness who we later appreciated for her availability and professionalism. He recommended places to visit in a country and territory rich in history, art and surprising culture.
The hotel is located almost in the center of the town which can be reached with a pleasant walk. The exterior features a beautiful park with a large Jacuzzi tub available to customers. The interior is cared for down to every detail, the breakfast room is wonderful.
When we return to this land it will definitely be at the Cavalier d'Arpino hotel...
Thanks for everything!

Structure in ancient style but well maintained, a beautiful palace of other times, totally renovated.

We only stayed one night for a short break in Ciociaria, but you could very well use this hotel as a base to visit the many nearby villages (eg Fumone) because the building is cozy and the atmosphere very pretty.
It is also possible to arrive in the center of Arpino with a short walk (the village deserves to be visited for the view, there are very beautiful views).

The building is large, the outdoor environments very rich in greenery and pleasant. It is a real park, beautiful and spacious.

The breakfast room is large and nice.
Also good breakfast.

Our room also had a large bathroom.

Convenient parking inside.

Well functioning air conditioning.

Positive experience!

Truly positive and unexpected experience. The hotel looks like a 3* but is as comfortable and well managed as a 4*. The room, although the architecture resembled a "house room", was very large and spacious, but above all very clean. The hotel is beautiful, it is a very ancient and immense building. The beautiful breakfast room. The breakfast itself is very extensive. I have to say that everything is charming and welcoming, including the staff.

The hotel is quaint and charming. Arrival at hotel is parking on the side of hotel however is limited so we parked mainly on the street which wasn't a problem. They did not have service for the luggage so I suggest to pull up, unload luggage and then park. The hotel is quaint and the rooms were clean however, a bit dated in a double room. The restaurant for breakfast was buffet style and plenty to choose from. The owner is there 24/7 and always eager to help. Overall a charming hotel.

We will definitely be returning when in Arpino. We had two rooms across the hall from one another. We loved how spacious and clean the rooms and bathrooms were. The breakfast room was beautiful and the breakfast that was served was excellent. This is a very charming hotel with beautiful grounds. Sonia and the staff are very cordial and available to answer any questions. The cleaning staff always did a lovely job. The city of Arpino offers a lot of character. You won't be disappointed.

Very charming hotel, the building used to be an old industrial site but now has the feeling of an old Palazzo. Nice garden. Very clean and well kept, it is walking distance from the center of Arpino which is worth a visit. Staff extremely helpful. Free parking. It doesn’t have a restaurant but there are a few Trattoria in Arpino.

Non c'è ristorante interno se non per la colazione, ma a pochi passi ci sono vari ristorantini dove si mangia bene.
