a wonderful compromize between a very long history and tradition, new architecture and design through an excellent restoration, even if from outside it still seems to enter into another time-space dimension, from several centuries ago. Clean and charming rooms, awesome hosts, smiles everywhere, and an excellent cuisine. Take your time to live this experience...

It is the 4th time I stayed with a group of leaders of a corporate client in Gut Sonnenhausen. And once again it was a pleasant experience and a very inspiring setting to run a leadership seminar. We stayed with the family for one night in the hotel and had enjoyed the restaurant. The menu was excellent, tasteful and beautifully arranged. The wine was well selected and delicious. The breakfast was outstanding, had everything you are looking for, well worth to try. We spent the night in the separate farmers building (Bauernhaus). The building has 10 beds,...

Positive: For those who like the countryside it is heaven. They grow their own vegetables. Good food for lunch. Negative: "Logistics" can be improved. Catering in the coffee breaks was very simple and uninspired. Interior decoration is a matter of taste... What I did not understand were the trophies in the lobby: Why a (real) cape buffalo and a waterbuck...

Our owner is very keen on the design and the art that is used in our interior design - that is why you sometimes also meet trophies that...

I was at Sonnenhausen for a conference for a few days in Jan I travel a lot for conferences and workshops (5/6 times a year) and can say hands down that this is the best place I have ever stayed. The grounds are stunning, the training room had the most amazing view, the hotel rooms were stylish, comfortable and well...

Stayed here on business, the staff were great and food/drink was served efficiently. Downside is the standard room size. On the small side however comfortable and clean. Wifi works well depending on location within hotel.

I stayed here for 3 days on a work conference. Lovely location, good service, nice rooms, nice food. WiFi a bit flaky but on reflection this is not a bad thing as it allowed me to switch off for a while. Overall just a really nice place.

We stayed here for a wedding reception, the location and design is excellent, very stylish with lots of interesting art installatons. Rooms were basic, functional and very clean. Satff were very helpful. The wedding breakfast was some of the best food i have eaten in a 'banquet' scenario, locally sourced and served with professional calm - outstanding. This was replicated...
