Typical hotel for the region outside the big cities. Friendly and Service minded staff. Room big with reasonable standards except for the bath/ shower, need an update. Breakfast just above normal standard but not more.

I had originally planned to give this hotel a 3 star rating - décor is very dated (late 70's, early 80's) and there is probably very little acoustic insulation in the walls/room. Hearing people use the toilet is no fun for anyone! I had to change my mind, however, as my experiences with the staff made my stay a 4 star experience. The gentleman at the front desk is very helpful and seemed to want to go out of his way to make sure I was comfortable. The lady serving at breakfast was equally helpful and charming. She was very busy but seemed to manage her duties in a very efficient way - making hot drinks for people, clearing tables, restocking the cereals. All of these things were done with a minimum of fuss and with a ruthless efficiency. The rooms are also very large and are probably more aptly described as suites - a lounge area next to a bedroom with space for a small family in the double room. I recommend this hotel for business stays if you are in Casalmaggiore. I think it goes to show that having good staff make a big difference to the experience of patrons.

Room was comfortable and clean. The front desk staff speak English and are very helpful in giving directions, calling taxis, and answering questions. It is a short walk to the center of town, and about 2 kilometers to the train station. There is an industrial park across the street that has a small shopping mall and includes a grocery store that has a good selection of items. There is also a self-serve laundry next to the mall, which was very helpful for us.
