This lovely chateau was a real find. Right in the heart of the vineyards in a very rural setting. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the dining room very atmospheric. Dinner, by the open log fire, was delicious. Lots of local produce at breakfast. The staff were friendly and helpful. Excellent wine to take home as a souvenir.

This old chateau, a bit basic in style, but still beautiful, in the middle of the vineyard is certainly recommended. Isolated location, but no need to leave the chateau as they also have a good kitchen where they serve their own wine (not special but the fact that it was from there really adds to the experience). I had a...

Our friend booked this place after we read reviews of the great restaurant. We arrived at 7 and there was no body then which had us worried. However by 8 it was filled with locals with one big party celebrating birthday as well! FOOD - we ordered baked Camembert with chorizo (4/5 stars), foie gras (5/5), steak and fries (4/5),...

Great value accommodation in a beautiful setting. You can stay in an historic Chateau for a very reasonable price. The rooms are very spacious with great views. It needs a bit of TLC but who cares. The surrounding area is great to explore especially if you're a wine buff.

We took two rooms for our group and the rooms could not have been more different. Ours was downstairs, dark and an afterthought I would say. Our friend had an upstairs room and it was beautifully appointed in a classical French manner. Though neither had a shower you could stand in. The building itself is rather tired and in need...

Very nice hotel, pure relax in a wonderful land. Beautiful vineyards around it. You can visit the cave, buying wine, having dinner in a good restaurant. The rooms are comfortable. Very good price with high quality.

A beautifully located ancient chateau in the wine area near St Emilion, this has unfulfilled potential and would benefit from some improvements to make it special. The bathroom was old with an unattractive Lino floor but worse was the mould on the tile grouting and rusting soap dish in the shower. ( photos attached) The pool was well maintained and...

My husband and I just returned from a visit and we were in awe of the peace, beauty and loveliness this property casts upon arrival. We left for a trip to Cannes after staying here and all we kept saying was we wished we had stayed at Fleur de Roques for the duration of our French holiday. Living in NYC,...

No words can reflect the peace and escapist pleasure on garners from Chateau de R.. To crown this secret place is the stream of understated plates of amazing flavours....Dinner and a cigar with a good cognac in the evening warmth are what makes me return again and again... I make an excuse to come back in Sept ... Close to...

Now this place as a trip through time. We stayed the night. The walls in the old chateaux are over a foot thick so you hear nothing unless you open a window. The windows in the room opened inward and I leaned out to catch a view of the vineyards and a sniff of the farm land. Dinner was very...

“The hotel is a renovated, baring lovely golden stone walls in some rooms. Perhaps this is one reason the rooms are quiet. However, many rooms have a view (a great view) of the hotel's nice pool. But it might be good to ask about families visiting in the summer...”
