I found this inn ("locanda") on Trip Advisor after another place I'd stayed in several times before in the area was booked. I used the inn as a base to explore Modena (30 minutes away) and the surrounding area. The inn is run by two young brothers (one runs the inn and the other is the chef) who are incredibly...

We had an invitation from Ferrari to tour the factory in Maranello. After numerous visits to Italy I finally worked up the nerve to rent a car and drive. Found the locanda reviewed so well on trip advisor and gave it a try. Everything good the reviewers say is true. I managed to mess up our reservation so we arrived...

This lovely, small hotel in a fairy-tale village is perfect as a base for touring the region or for just relaxing, The room/suite my husband and I stayed in was decorated in very good taste, was luxuriously ample, and had a marvelous mattress.. The only fault we would mention is that, while the lighting is ample, it is not designed...

We loved this little spot. We got there late and they were extremely courteous about helping two tired travelers get some rest and food. The hotel is lovely, service and appointments were 5 star and the location is beautiful. It gives you a hint of what medieval living was all about and I would have loved to have stayed there...

Isn't that what being away is all about! Coming and going from this charming spot only adds to the enjoyment of being there. The small, historic village welcomes you with its cobblestone streets, painted buildings and quiet way of life. Parking is convenient either in the public lot or privately in narrow spaces between trees just before the streets become...

Choosing a base form which to explore some of the Emilia Romagna countryside was challenging. We settled on Castelvetro di Modena because the medieval town center is so beautiful and Locanda del Feudo offered an appealing alternative to staying at an agriturismo, which is not really for us. The charming inn did not disappoint. The location is perfect and Andrea,...

This small hotel is situated within the boundaries of an ancient medieval fortress in a small village (Castelvetro di Modena), about 20 km south of Modena. It is managed by two brothers - Andrea and Roberto (who is also the chef, personally responsible for everything served, either breakfast or diner). There are six charming spacious two-room suites, well equipped (the...

We only stayed one night on our way North but this place was fantastic! We had a spacious junior suit which consisted of two separate rooms and an ensuite bathroom which suited our needs as travelling with a teenager. The staff were very welcoming, helpful and friendly and it was the perfect break from a long journey South/North. A great...

These 2 brothers Andrea and Roberto are everything that everyone has said in their reviews, and more. Upon our arrival from Bologna area, we still needed a SIM card, and had run into 2 Wind Cellular stores with no English speaking reps. Andrea helped us find one that did in a nearby town, and we were off and running. Andrea...

We've had the privilege of many Italian vacations and stayed in some wonderful places. We would add Locanda Del Feudo to that category. Expect an inn that puts you right into the center of medieval Castelvetro di Modena. Expect gracious and warm attention during your entire stay. Expect great, beautifully served food (don't miss dinner there) with one of the...
