Thank you for the two nights. The bungalow where I stayed was new and very relaxed with the sea 10 meters in front. They also help you to get from Wakai to Kadidiri if you ask them in advance. They cook very nice food.
Out of the three resorts on Kadidiri beach, choose this one if you are a backpacker or a traveller, and if you want to save some money. If you came on vacation, look for other two, as they are a bit more fancy. Lestari is a bit cheaper, just because they have not as good bungalows as other two, but we enjoyed it a lot. There are 3 meals per day, mostly rice and chicken. However, I lost my Gopro there. Somebody took it, because I knew exactly where I left it and when I was looking for it, nobody knew where it was. There were not many people there. Watch your stuff.
It was very nice to stay in Lestari Kadidiri, I stayed here in december. As far as I know this is the only place on Togean where you can stay with a local Bajau family. Also the cheapest! Nice welcoming family, they invited me to come spearfishing, very impressive! Fresh fish for dinner and nice bonfires. The bed was good. DONT go to Black Marlin, the resort next to Lestari whose owner lives in Bali, they actually annexated a part of this family's land! The family they won't actively tell this to visitors who come to Kadidiri for a holiday, but since I was hanging out with them for some time and asked about their land rights, I got to know this and it makes me really angry and I think we travellers should boycot Black Marlin! And support this family so they can send their children to school.…
This is one of the cheapest lodge in Kadidiri, Togean Islands. It costs Rp150.000 per pax include breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but exclude bathroom in your room. You can use sharing bathroom outside. There's no electricity outlet too, but if you want to charge your gadget, camera, or anything else, you can charge near the dinning room. What I love the most with this lodge is the staff. They are very kindhearted, friendly and so helpful. And the most important thing is they have a beautiful scenery in front of the lodge, the sunset, and the coral.
lestari kadidiri's nice, i stayed for a week, the place is good for snorkeling, you can also dive in lestari kadidiri.i saw many kinda of fish. i recommend you if you go to togean island you can stay in lestari kadidiri,
Unimaginitive rooms and the staff gave bad info. However, nice family and good beach (just dont go in the sand at sundown, those sand flies will wreak havoc on your skin. The people running it failed to tell us that and just watched us. Spend the money and stay at the other end, not in the middle spot either.
We stayed in April 2014 and absolutely loved it. The accomodation was basic and we paid $5 per person per night so it was super cheap. Mama and Akah were lovely as well. Because I speak Indonesian it was easier for me to converse with them and found them to be very helpful. They even did a bonfire for us which was heaps of fun! The beach hut we had was very comfortable and clean. Yes they do have the jungle rats but they don't bother you. There's a mosquito net around the bed so no worries there. The food was ok as you only get served freshly caught fish every day. It's really not a big deal considering you're in paradise. There's a reef on the beach so snorkelling there is quite enjoyable. There's also a beautiful group of dogs that are friendly and affectionate. I miss them to this day. We had a great and memorable experience in the togeans and this place made it happen. Cant wait to come back!…
Pondok Lestari Kadidiri offers cheap accomodation, including 3 meals and free tea/coffee. Great choice for budget travellers. You can go snorkelling just from the beach or choose from some boat trips. The food is really tasty and the staff is very nice. Unfortunately they only have one divemaster so if he's busy you have to search in other two resorts next door.
1st I would say that I enjoyed the island but was really disappointed with Pondok lestari. The people that owned it where so unfriendly, the only time the old lady smiled was when you gave her money, any other time you asked her something oh I don't speak English. Most of the time it doesn't matter if the people that run the place are unfriendly but when you also have 3 meals a day there you see them a lot, so it really makes a difference. the day we left we wanted to get taken back to wakai to get our next ferry after leaving 30mins later than we wanted we then ran out of fuel, luckily right next to a bay so he could go and borrow some so it meant we arrived 15mins late luckily the ferry also was late (surprisingly the ferries are mostly on time). While we were staying 3 people that had booked they made them push 2single beds together and share them even though they had plenty of spare rooms. A very disappointing experience with a place that only cared for your money…
Alright place, but kind of pricey compared to the other options on the Togeans where you get so much more for the same price (e.g. Bolilanga). As the others said, the breakfast is meager and no fruits are served. No meat is served, so you should better like fish if you go there! But the fish is amazing, always freshly caught, and if you get a chance, you should accompany Akah fishing, it's an amzing experience. The beach is beautiful, but kind of crowded with three ressorts sharing one beach. But the sunsets are amazing! If possilbe, don't go there during the winter months while Hans the German is staying there for a couple of months each year - he is so annoying!
