First the positive: the long jetty is really nice for a sunset beer and Una is a welcoming host. Unfortunately this doesn’t save the overall experience. Everything is very worn down or straight out broken, locks at doors, panels in rooms and a lot of the planks at the jetty. More alarming is the fact that the ladder had fallen off from the jetty so a large day of the day before high tide you can’t swim or reach the water, when the coral creates a barrier. Another huge drawback is the rats, we had one in our bungalow and when we asked other guests that arrived same day as us, it turned out that all had rats in their rooms, some opting instead to sleep in the hammock in the beach. Would suggest to choose a resort with better and less damaged reef if you like to snorkel

Kadidiri Island is idyllic but Kadidiri Paradise Resort leaves much to be desired. Upon returning to the resort after a snorkeling trip the tide was out so to get out of the boat it was necessary to lift a leg above hip height to a toe hold on a concrete pillar and reach for the boatman's hand to be pulled up onto a platform. My husband slipped, and fell backwards over a metre onto the wooden boat and broke his ribs. Adrien, one of the managers showed little concern when alerted, he and the other manager had their afternoon nap while I was trying to work out how to get off the island and where to get some medical help. They offered no suggestions but ultimately when I asked whether a boat could be chartered they organised it. When it came time to leave they offered no help carrying luggage or assisting my husband who was in excruciating pain to get into the boat. Thank goodness for the kindness of other travellers. Ultimately my husband was found to have 6 broken ribs as well as a punctured lung requiring hospitalization and surgery. The Togean Islands are beautiful but find another resort who have a greater concern for safety and more caring and professional management.

We spent 10 days this summer at Kadidiri paradise with our two kids ages 10 and 12. Our experience was truly unforgettable and this small resort is undoubtedly the best possible hub to explore the Togian archipelago. From Kadidiri paradise, we have: - Dived into some of the world’s most stunning diving spots full of marine life (and also an incredible wreck of a WWII US bomber); - Kayaked to wild islands and beautiful tropical beaches in the surroundings, snorkeling and discovering incredible landscapes; - Climbed on a very active volcano in nearby island of Una Una, exploring a very active crater and a marvelous tropical jungle; - Explored fascinating Bajo villages and other spots (jungle hikes) thanks to well organized half-day or full-day excursions; - Experienced some of the most amazing sunsets ever, with changing lights and colors every day, from the beach and the jetty; - Chilled in the very nice and quiet environment, where we met numerous friends and other families from all over the world; - Enjoyed delicious cocktails and tasty homemade family cuisine, to recover energy after our numerous activities. Bearing in mind you are on a very remote tropical island, full of animals (don’t store food in your room!!) and with significant daily challenges to provide basic services such as water, energy and connectivity, this is probably one of the greatest experience you can get, with very dedicated owners and friendly staff. This will remain a true highlight of our numerous travels across the world over the past 25 years.

A true island paradise. The owners and staff helpful and friendly, especially Una. Stayed for 5 days and meals were fresh with mostly fish and chicken as entrees. Electricity on only from 5:00pm - 11:00pm. The bar has cold Bintangs and cocktails. Snorkeling and kayaking both superb. Highly recommend.

We had a lovely stay at Kadidiri Resort for one week with our kids and friends from Europe, and as we both have two children we were aware of our small humans needs, as their ages ranged from 5-9. The resort, resort staff and settings are truly amazing for us all and its well worth the effort to get there, they help with snorkling, diving, arranging anything we needed. I am always weary of staying in places for several days where the main meals are supplied but the daily diversity was great and the rooms over the water are out of this world. To be able to open all of the glass sides of the room and only hear the sea is what dreams are made of. The limited electricity at periods throughout the day was a nice reminder how remote we were and did not cause us any issued. If you can just go

A beautiful place in the Togian Islands. Many Bungalows and two Sea Villas over the water. The last Sea Villa has a fantastic view straight from the bed and you can watch very many fish and sea snakes and Moray Eels directly from your Varanda. Although the Villas are spacy, they have come to age. Lots of repairs to be done and cleand properly. Staf ver friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the food was almost always the same and hardly enough for all at the same table. Although this is one of the most beautiful places in the Togians, it is far too much high priced.
