Detailed Reviews
Hotel is an adequate 2 star property.
Rooms and particularly bathrooms clean but would benefit from updating (currently 60's / 70's decor).
Decent sized rooms - those with balconies are best
Basic breakfast - probably not worth the €7
Meze is a nice little town - very much a 'working port' - so be prepared for none of the glamour / pretention found further East. Interesting part of France off the beaten trail

We stayed June for three days and had a lovely room with balcony. Recently redecorated. Easy access to the centre and port.
Parking on street or nearby public car park (free)
Breakfast simple - coffee and croissants - bread and cold cuts if you are hungry - but hey, what do you expect in France?
Enjoyed it so much we are going back this week.

My wife and I stayed here recently for one night before we left for the UK the next day. Warm welcome, nothing too much trouble. Although check-in time was from 4pm they allowed us to leave all our luggage at midday in the room we were given, which had already been cleaned and was spotless. The bed was comfortable and the en suite shower was in perfect working order. The cost was 72€ - very reasonable for the area.

The most spartan room ever. We were charged for a sea view which we didn't have. The coffee was lousy as were the croissants. To cap it all the room was so cold we could not sleep. The management were a bit slippery when we challenged them about the room rate. Very poor value for money.

Owners Jean-Philippe and Marie-Laurence were lovely people who could not do enough for me. My room was well appointed and the south-facing balcony offered a superb view of the sea, which was only 100 metres away. The hotel is in an excellent location and I would highly recommend it to any prospective traveller.

My husband and I recently stayed in this hotel for two separate stays of two nights. It is a small clean and wel run hotel with comfortable beds and excellent breakfasts. The hosts are very friendly and obliging and the hotel itself is exceptionally well situated being out of the hustle and bustle but within a two minute walk of the sea and a two minute walk to the town centre where there is an excellent market each Sunday and Thursday. Both rooms in which we stayed had a balcony which allowed us to sit and watch the world go by. Meze is a wonderful small town on teh edge of teh Bassin de Thau which combines old world charm with some good restaurants, good beaches and a picturesque port.

Very friendly reception and a nice clean room with a balcony view of the Etang de Thau. Buffet breakfast served nice and early and very filling. It's easy to find with great directions on the hotel website, plenty of on-street parking available.

This hotel is situated 5 minutes walk from the beach and charming port with numerous bars and restaurants. The hotel is lovely with delightful couple who run it - Nothing is too much trouble. We have just returned to UK and already planning our next trip. You must visit Pezenas which is 30 minutes at most inland from the hotel - Its fascinating. Really we can't recommend Hotel de Thau highly enough.

Well managed traditional 2 star hotel. Friendly welcome. Would recommend one of the Newly refurbished rooms with balcony over looking street and glimpse of etang. Ideally situated for short walk to beach and port. Breakfast room clean and light and good buffet breakfast.

My wife and I stayed at L'Hotel de Thau for a night this week and it was just as excellent as it was on our previous trip to the area. The hotel is simple, but our room was lovely, and Mr and Mme Sicre made us feel very welcome. The main reason to come to Meze is for the seafood, and the hotel is about 5-6 minutes walk from the port, which has perhaps eight or so restaurants. Meze is an attractive working town, and we are already looking forward to returning to the hotel and the village.
