I travelled alone for a peaceful week in the nature and I had a blast! The hotel staff were amazing, the food was yummy, the bed was comfy, oh and I loved the meditative reading room! And of course, the beautiful nature just outside the hotel, it heals you, immediately.
Clean sunny rooms, delicious breakfast and diners with many kinds of foods, drinks and local products. Swimming pool, steam room, sauna, bowling and bike rental. And finally, lovely scenery, clear air and forests.
Perfect service, beautiful location. Excellent cuisine. Swimming pool, sauna, sports field. Everything OK. I am very happy to come back here. I go regularly every year and I am always very satisfied. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

It was a surprise to discover such a large hotel in a rather small village of South Bohemia. The rooms are tastefully appointed, very comfortable beds, good lighting and beautiful soothing wall paper. Large bathroom with all the amenities one could expect. Good wifi connection. The restaurant was very good, with a large number of options for breakfast and dinner (did not have lunch). Smiling staff who provide a very efficient drinks service to the table. As the restaurant is rather large, I was a bit concerned that my wine order would reach half way through the meal, but it was delivered in just a few minutes ! Nature all around is amazing. One could spend weeks to explore forests, lakes and other natural wonders, not to mention small picturesque villages where you can always stop for a nice beer, or a cup of coffee with delicious cake. The only drawback, if you do not speak Czech or German, is that not every member of staff speaks English. But since I was travelling with a Czech friend, I did not encounter any communication problems.…
Stopped for lunch at the Hotel Srni on their open terrace overlooking open views across the village to the wooded countryside beyond. The menu offered traditional Czech specialities and a high standard of service. Little English is spoken but the menu is in English.
During Sept. 2018 I have organized a conference for over 100 people in Hotel Srni and I would like to thank the staff for perfect support and cooperation, as well as excellent food. The conference room in the Depandance building can accomodate even more people and has a good acoustics, and windows are well oriented to prevent sunshine from interfering projection of presentations. Wifi was able to support this number of participants with a reasonable speed. During the free time some participants enjoyed the swimming pool, bike rental, and other sport facilities. The conference banquet was perfect, everybody enjoyed the excellent menu and the amount of food available was plentiful. I have only one minor suggestion for improvement - the coffee served during coffee breaks in Depandance building was made from instant powder, coffee machines which freshly grind coffee beans would be preferable.…
Hi, we were in the hotel from May 19 to May 21, 2 nights, as a family. We were very pleased with the trip, the price was very good for two nights with half board. We had a room in the Sumava building, not in the main building. The room was pretty basic, we felt sorry we didn't have a refrigerator inside, it would have been useful. The hotel is in a very small little village, just a few houses there, very quiet, not many entertainment possibilities around. The food was tasty, it was a buffet with 3, 4 choices. The hotel has a large sport offer, we used the swimming pool, 25 m. long. There were just a few people using the pool, it's great to have the pool just for you)). The water is cold, you can just swim, it's not OK for children. Most of the people were there 15 min and out. The forest surrounding the hotel is great, there are many points of interest you can reach in the surroundings, if you like walking, trekking. We went to a spring with the pushchair with our son, the so called Forest chapel. We went to see the wolves in a park not far from the hotel, we've only seen 2 there. We visited the town of Susice, even if small, there are a few good shops, we bought some things for us. We had very good weather, it was very warm. We want to come back here again!…
We visited hotel srní, again for the first time in two years. This was our third visit. We decided to come back because we really loved the hotel itself, the beautiful nature around, all its amenities and the food, the food was really great the last time we went there. We were expecting a lot when we arrived at the hotel. First, let's start with the good sides of this establishment. Probably the most important aspect of this hotel would be its location. It's located in the heart of the Sumava national park with a great variety of hiking trails in the summer, cross country skiing in the winter along with some regular skiing. another strength of the hotel is the rooms, which are clean, bright and modern and it's apparent that they were renovated a few years back. Another strength of the hotel would be the facilities which include ping pong, a swimming pool, two saunas and a tennis court (which cost 25 euro an hour, how very expensive!). The staff was also pleasant and polite. However, we were let down by some of the things at the hotel. The first would have to be the food. The breakfast spread remained virtually unchanged offering a large variety of dishes but the quality of the dinner service definitely took a turn for the worse, There was meant to be an Italian cuisine night, which we remembered fondly from our experience a few years back, thus we were quite happy to learn that that's what was going to be served. However, the dinner was disappointing, the risotto was tasteless and the lasagna was borderline inedible, also we had to wait often to be seated since the restaurant was at full capacity.the other days the food was indeed better but it was just mediocre with some dishes standing out as being better. Another this that I must point out to be frustrating was the Wi-Fi. In the morning it's wasn't really fast but was usable. this changed as the day went by, being very slow by noon and totally unusable by eight or so, some days were better than other and we got a stable-ish wifi connection throughout the whole day but it wasn't anything to applaud. there is a better network at the reception but that isn't that much better so I settled for TV instead of Netflix. Also, the hotel staff seems to have an urge to dump glass into the glass container a bit after seven in the morning. My only question is why? Can't you either wait until the guests are awake or do it the day before? This really isn't rocket science. Overall the stay was good but there are definitely some things that need to be fixed to improve the quality of the stay.…
