Pros: We stayed for a few nights at this amazing hotel. When we arrived the staff upgraded our room! The rooms were huge and clean. The ocean view was amazing and after traveling around meta and sorrento area we felt we had one of the better hotels. Especially for ocean views and beach access. The staff was so kind and helpful. The food was amazing ! I travel a lot and they hands down have the best breakfast buffet. It’s also within the territory for most tours to pick you up from the hotel. cons: We are in our mid thirty’s so if you’re looking for any night life within walking distance … look somewhere else. This place is peaceful and laid back. Getting down town is not easy unless you catch the free shuttle the hotel offers! Over all we could not ask for a better hotel and look forward to one day coming back!

Spent 9 wonderful nights at this hotel last month. Upon arrival and going to the reception desk. showed to our beautiful room. Room very spacious safe and mini- bar provided. Lovely furnished balcony, with excellent views of the sea. Breakfast was varied, loads of choice and well presented food. We had dinner in the main dining room each night. Loved the food. Cooked to perfection and loads of variety. This hotel is kept so clean. On the beach with plenty of sun-beds and sun loungers on the patio. Lunch was served close to the main dining room. Again a variety of food on the menu. I would say this hotel is suited to families with children, and retired folks like ourselves. Its a good drive to the centre of Sorrento, which is served by the hotels courtesy bus. A private taxi costs €45.00 from Sorrento back to the hotel. I enjoyed my holiday. Its the staff that make this hotel. I hope to return soon. All of the staff I met were helpful and guest orientated. Thanks to everybody

I haven’t reviewed this before because it was very average but there have been so many great reviews I feel as if we must have been given a dodgy room. On arrival we had a nice reception given our room keys and our bags were taken to our room. The view was lovely although the balcony railings s were rusted away from the wall. When unpacking the wardrobe doors were jumping off runners which drove me mad as the week went on the bathroom door was split the shower head was hanging off the wall (which we reported and nothing was done) when you had a shower everything got wet. The wall in the bathroom had black mould The food on the first day was poor but it did range from poor to excellent through the week the service is not the best waiters reaching across you to serve on one occasion dropping cutlery on my lap ruining a pair of trousers. When I asked for them to be dry cleaned was told I would have to pay. When I refused they did clean them. Of an evening if you wanted a drink on some occasions you could go to the bar and get your own when you went back you would order your drink and be told to sit down. Sometimes you got it others you didn’t. The no short trousers rule was completely ignored. The shuttle bus was hit and miss one was good the other had no suspension which was really bad. Strangely enough we did laugh a lot and thought the place was a little like fawlty towers. From the other reviews I’m sure most will ignore this but it is exactly as we saw it. The entertainment was ok and some of the staff were very good but in general an average hotel which could be great. from what I understand it is pretty much fully booked year round so they must be doing something right. It is reasonably priced and the hotel does transport you back to another time. but in one review I did read that you had a choice of wine on the a/i we were offered 2 white and one red. When I asked for a Pinot they didn’t have any Which I found odd in Italy. Sorry to be so negative but like I say we did quite enjoy the holiday but won’t be back.

I was a bit sceptical if I’m honest when the wife found this place for a half term break as Italy isn’t on my bucket list of places to go at this moment in my life, but read the reviews which speak very highly on the most part so did go with an open mind. Went with Tui & not the hotels fault in any way but Naples Airport is not the best, the coach park is about a 10-15 minute walk away from the terminal which is not what you want when having to get to the Airport in the middle of the night for a 6am departure & then a 3 hour flight.. On arrival, check in was easy enough with a nice welcome, Prosecco or Pinapple Juice.. Room was ready at about 2pm so fantastic, no hanging around. Room: Our room was very clean (most important thing), large balcony looking out to sea. Yes it was “Art Deco” ie. could be updated but cleanliness is more important to me. Also had a kettle & drinks tray, Mini Bar is stretching it somewhat as only water in it which was replaced upon use daily, but needed for the kettle. On the negative sides, the TV was very small & only 2 English channels, both News, I know you don’t go on holiday to watch TV but at night when you go back or if you fancy an hour in the afternoon sun, settling down for the night, something to watch would be good. wifi is very good & flash sticks are very common in hotels nowadays for freeview channels. We were back to back at the end of the hotel with someone’s house / apartment though & their kitchen was behind our headboard so early in the morning they were making breakfast, washing pots etc.. could hear everything. Our son scratched his arm one day on what was found to be a small piece of glass in his bed. Didn’t make a big fuss as could have come in on a shoe, off the maids brush & got in there when the maid was making the bed. Reported to reception & they changed his pillow?, blood still on the sheets & duvet.. went back & said if you find a bit of glass in a bed, change it completely just in case... they did so all well. Free safe in the room though which was a bonus. Drinks: Very good AI choice, also a wine list & get the bottle rather than a glass as pretty much standard. A big plus on all choices. Location: Nice spot in the corner of the bay but nothing at all anywhere near. Nearest town is Meta, 20-25 walk downhill all the way & nothing to stop off noteable for a drink or food, would not like to walk up it to the town centre as a steep walk. In fact, nothing is within walking distance. Shuttle bus is great & takes 20-25 mins into Sorrento, nice town but geared up for cruise ship tourists, mega expensive & all eateries pretty much pizza & pasta. Facilities: Has a table tennis table, but bats seen better days, pool was too cold (time of year) & a bird bath for the pigeons they defocate on the side, then the life guards clap them away and then swill it into the drain around the pool which must re circulate back into the pool. Beach & jetty were clean & always sun beds around. Didn’t go near the spa as heard there was a charge for the indoor pool. Food: Biggest let down for us, alternating between buffet & Al a Carte is fine but the food temperature at all times was warm. Veg & boiled potatoes were plated in the cold section? Wouldn’t have been bad if they had a microwave to adjust for people who like their food hot. Also a lot of flies in and around the food. Entertainment: Not the best, one or two people every night singing to backing music or with an instrument as well. Staff: On the whole, friendly and attentive. But a special mention for Guigulio & Francesco in the dining room & Giovanni who was a knight in shining armour. Would I return? No sorry, nothing bad and yes I would recommend the place, just not to my taste...
