Stayed here 2 nights and were very happy with our choice in Hayfield. The hotel is in a great location in the centre of the village but very quiet. Can walk directly from the hotel to Kinder Scout and right into the Peak District park with no driving. There is a good pub on the ground floor, well used by...

We went for a pre Xmas break 23rd December 2015, had a great day in Hayfield and a great stay at the Royal Hotel. Lovely room with a 4 poster bed, very homely. We got engaged in the main bar so will always be a special place for us. We will be returning again this year for another pre Xmas...

Stopped by for a drink on our way home from walking. Excellent pub with open fires and friendly staff. We've eaten here before for lunch which was very good. The pub is very clean and I'm sure we will stay over in the Hotel in the near future. I would recommend for both drinks and food.

Lovely hotel, friendly staff, great food and set in one of the most beautiful parts of our great country. Myself and my gang of friends descended upon them in the busy month of June and we were treated royally - so much so that I stayed another night (although that may have had something to do with the almighty hangover...

We stayed between Christmas and new year and our family had a total of 4 rooms. All rooms were great. The pub had a great atmosphere, the beer was excellent and the food was hearty. Our father-in-law had an accident and was taken ill late at night and the staff were fantastic during the drama. The owners kindly didn't charge...

My wife and I stayed here for a weekend recently. The hotel is in the middle of the lovely village of Hayfield opposite the church. When entering the hotel you walk straight in to the bar area which is very pleasantly set up with wood-panelled walls and a log-fire. The bar is very well stocked with local ales, ciders, lagers...

What a great find!! I booked this last minute for an overnight stop before heading into Manchester. The pub was very busy but Steven quickly checked us in and took us to our lovely room. The room was large, very clean with traditional decoration and a four poster. Our only grumble was the shower pressure was terrible! We ate in...
