I'm from Hayfield originally so have been in this pub under many different owners over the years. Not been in for a while, so went in today after our walk. The staff were really pleasant. The decor is modern but hasn't ruined the original feel of the pub and the beer garden is a proper sun trap. Had a quick...

We eat here while staying at Hayfield Campsite. We both eat a beef rib special which was very good; served with a tasty sauce and fresh vegetables. The chocolate brioche desert is also highly recommended. Service was friendly and efficient.

We initially discarded the idea of visiting this pub for food after our walk but after reading reviews on the internet we decided to try it and we did not regret it! Great food, great atmosphere, very welcoming staff and great for our dog! We liked it so much we went back the 2nd night! Highly recommend

After a brief walk we had a really excellent lunch. Between the six of us we had a good cross section of the available starters, with all receiving the thumbs up. For the main courses we had steak and ale pies, burgers, lamb tagine and three cheese pie. We had a little issue with the lamb being served with unwanted...

Fantastic meal in relaxed surroundings. Located at the foot of Kinder Scout in the Peak District. The pub has a great location and has long and short circular walks on the doorstep. We went for a birthday meal but the friendly bar area is popular with walkers, quite a few in the bar when we arrived. Dogs welcome in the...

Stopped here to warm up after a wet walk withy the dogs. Very friendly and welcoming. The fire is great on a cold wet day. Good food too. The menu looked very good, but didn't have the chance to try too much due to our limited time in the area.
