Wouldn’t stay again. The staff is really nice and the accommodations are nice and clean. Now for the negative….. if this is a surf trip, you’re better off staying in El Tunco or LaLibertad. Mizata does not hold swell over 4 ft. It’s also not for inexperienced surfers. Nawi Beach House blasts raunchy music with the bass all the way up ALL DAMN DAY. I don’t want to hear “Wet Ass Pussy” blasting while eating lunch. Taking a nap in the treehouses is almost impossible due to the music and construction going on all day every day. Paying almost $5,000 for the treehouse for the week is Wayyyy overpriced, especially with non-stop construction. They nickel and dime you for everything. They want to charge $70 per person to go to the waterfall in a vehicle with no air conditioning. We got out and walked back to the hotel. They charge U.S. prices for everything. Hope this helps.

I traveled to El Salvador solo for a yoga and surfing retreat at Mizata and it was AMAZING. What a truly beautiful location. The yoga shala on the beach was our workshop every day and the waves and beautiful black sand beach was lovely for surfing lessons. Transportation to and from the airport was easy, about and hour and a half drive. The food from Nawi Beach House on the property was phenomenal - a large menu and everything was delicious. Massages and horseback riding are also available. I had a small but very cozy bungalow with A/C and a great bed, and I felt like I was nestled in the rainforest. Next time, I'm booking one of the new treehouses there! The sunsets from up there would be even better. This is a truly relaxing, restorative property with attentive staff who make everything easy and special. I highly recommend Mizata and Nawi Beach House for your vacation or an organized retreat.

Antiresort in Mizata, El Salvador is a great place to stay. It's a beautiful place, right on the beach, with really nice rooms, different types (Tree House, bungalow) and a pretty good restaurant with healthy options. The staff is kind, thoughtful, provides great service when you need it. The 4 stars (and not 5 stars) are given because there are some things to improve, some of which are easier than others. I think the easy one to change is the wood lounge chairs by the pool. They are hard to sit on, there is no cushion to help with the hard wood. This is a very nice resort, and comfy pool loungers are expected, not a nice to have. There needs to be more chairs for the guests by the pool. The cabanas were there too, but not enough for everyone at the hotel. You need more single loungers by the pool to accommodate everyone. You also should maybe consider using beach/poo towels for resort guests, instead of the very pretty blankets you're using now. Towels are easier to soak up water and the light blankets are lovely, but not the right thing. We had an issue in our tree house where there was no hot water 2 nights in a row. We had someone come the 1st night, fixed it for just one shower, and the other person had a cold shower. Then we shower the 2nd night, and again only cold water. We had to tell the manager to send someone again, and it was finally fixed. I'd say that checking that hot water is working in rooms is needed so that guests get the basic necessities. Again, something that could be improved very easily since the staff is great at the resort. Over time, it may be useful to build a shower in the spa. I think many of us were hoping to use the spa for a hot shower when we didn't have hot water in our room. And there was no shower there. It would be a nice addition that many spas have.

. I was greeted by Rocco who picked me up from the airport bright and early. I did the adventure experience and had so much fun at our private volcano & waterfall hike then massage and surf lessons. For anyone looking for a great getaway to call a place home for a few days, I highly recommend. The entire staff is very kind, you always feel very safe, and the activities / food at the resort are amazing. Not to mention the jungle gym and yoga platform is accessible with Nawi Beach House I went solo and felt very comfortable and relaxed. I can not wait to come back!!

We took a group surf trip to Mizata, and it was much better than we had expected. The reservations process was the only negative. It was a real hassle getting everything sorted, and we still ended up not getting rooms next to each other like they had told us, but after that everything was perfect. The hotel staff was so amazing, rooms great and so close to the ocean. Food was amazing and all the waitstaff was great. The waves were not quite as good as we expected, but that's how surfing goes. We had the best surf guide, Eric, who took us to some amazing spots, and that completely made the surf trip. We all had a great time and would definitely go back. The resort does have tons of instagram idiots focusing on taking photos, but you just gotta laugh at them and go on. Didn't change our experience but lots of other reviews complained about this.

Love, love, love Mizata. I don’t have enough words to describe how wonderful my stay at Mizata was. All the staff was wonderful and attentive. Daniel and Monica at the front desk made sure we were taken care of. The property is well kept and the view from our room was stunning. They also offer several excursions as part of the hotel package. The food was top notch as well. This place is literally paradise. If you’re thinking about booking, do it! You won’t regret it.

We went to Mizata antiresort for 4 nights for my wedding anniversary. After reading mixed reviews on her and google etc, I thought about cancelling but glad I did not. It was the perfect quaint little hideaway. Very relaxed feel. It does take a bit of time from the airport to get here but worth it. It is secluded, so if you are t looking to just stay in one place for your whole trip I wouldn’t recommend staying here since there is nothing around except for the hotel and the naw beach house restaurant next door. Included with your room is the traditional El salvadorian breakfadg which was good. And you get a welcome drink! Prices are good to Americans but may be high to people from other countries. We did a surf lesson which was awesome and fun. Massage that was nice and relaxing. Daniel at the front desk was very kind and arranged a special dinner on the beach for us for anniversary. The day club at nawi on the weekends is kind of a different vibe but we did the volcano hike Saturday. I will always remember the view of being at the infinity pool with a view of the ocean and waves crashing as well. We were also hesitant to travel to El Salvador since we have read it’s not safe but all in all I never once felt nervous!

The entire resort was pretty incredible!! The waves were good, but our stay was great! Everyone from the front desk to the owner were all so very nice and caring. The restaurant staff did an incredible job our entire stay; providing not only amazing food and recommendations but impeccable service with a smile. Juan and Mario took care of us daily and made our experience very memorable. I came for waves and Eric made sure both my wife and I scored. Daniel, Kevin, and Monica at the front desk were there for any and all requests we had. The entire staff was just so nice! We truly felt like a part of the family. The room was always clean and the bed was awesome (not too soft). No bad vibes or days at Mizata, I can’t wait to come back soon to see our friends here again.
