Bizarre, website says open from 12 everyday. We got there at about 3.30 and it was closed. Sign in one window saying it was open from 6pm and Sign up in another window saying for sale/lease. Odd but disappointing that website tells you it should be open but it wasn't!

We were staying in Barr last week and decided to go to the King's Arms on Thursday evening for dinner. Considering this is a pub I was amazed - their menu has a superb range to whet anyone's appetite and at very reasonable prices. We (my two friends and I) all chose different meals and my word! they were all...

We started a long 80 mile cycle route from Barr and clocked the Kings Arms on leaving. It was a welcome sight upon our return as we were more than ready for some proper grub. We were made to feel very welcome and the menu had a long list of all the classics you'd be looking for. Everything hit the...

I went to the Kings for their Valentines night meal with my partner and enjoyed it immensely. A great menu was enjoyed by both of us. The trio of meats went down really well as did the bass.. Thank you Kassie and Jordan.

Barr village is a small village about 7 miles from Girvan well off the beaten track in the Stinchar valley. My wife and I went to this pub last night for something to eat. The bar and restaurant area are seperate. The bar area is a typical Scottish theme with a pool table, dart board and "puggie" machine. Our hosts Jordan...

I was trying to book accommodation online for a business trip to this area. i contacted several BnBs but with no joy. Eventually one of the BnB owners recommended this little pub to me. I looked it up online and found the prices to be incredibly reasonable (£30 B&B), such that I almost expected the most basic of accommodation and...

This is a family run business that does home cooking. We ate there twice the first time the food was of the highest quality and the staff were attentive and provided good service. The second time they were very busy with a large party and the standard was not as good. I would however eat there again
