LOCATION: The B&B is in a beautiful panoramic position but incredibly isolated! If you choose not to eat in (30€/head) the only choice is a 45 min, plus drive. HOSPITALITY: The "free breakfast buffet" is limited in choice and not particularly varied or plentiful. Yet the draw back of Podere Carceroni is undoubtedly the service. The director was unwelcoming, curt,...

The nicest place we have stayed in Italy. Comfortable spacious bedrooms, breathtaking views and the quiet broken only by the sound of the cuckoo. Delicious home-grown, home-cooked food and wonderful wine from the local prize-winning cantina. Perfect for touring southern Tuscany or just for relaxing.Best of all, the warm welcome.

This place was fantastic. Romantic. Beautiful gardens. Great swimming pool. Superb jacuzzi with built in water massage jets, could spend hours just there! Rooms are lovely, breakfast simple but delicious. Hostess friendly but kept out of the way, was helpful when we asked for suggestions for dinner.

Everything was spotlessly clean, the beds were extremely comfortable and we had a...

Location is unique, close to Maremma, Amiata and Siena, but at the same time secluded in a valley where very few pass by. It is never too hot in summer given the permanent top-hill breeze. Service is reduced to the very minimum you need and extremely understated, and this helps you really feel at home. But you do not lack...

Lovely setting, the owners are some of the most welcoming and friendly people I have met. We arrived quite late and still were treated to a full tuscan supper of 4 courses - and the food was amazing. Thoroughly recommend it.
