I have stayed at the Schlosshotell before, but always at business trips. This time I came as private guest with my wife and ordered the special gourmet weekend package. As before the hotel is impressive with its entrance gates and long drive up though the park until you reach the fairy tale main building. This time however, the reception seemed... More

The hotel is literally a restored castle, with wonderful old-world ambiance. There appear to be guest rooms tucked away in all sorts of nooks and towers, and the common areas are breathtaking, making one feel like a step back in time. The meals I had (room service for one dinner, breakfast in the main dining room, and a group dinner... More

We returned to the Schloss in Kronberg for an overnight stay and round of golf after our previous visits only included dinner, tea or a tour of the castle interior. We were very pleased with our stay with the elegance of the public rooms and restaurant. Very fortunate weather in mid October have us a pleasant walk around the golf... More

we recently returned from a trip to Europe. We stayed in 7 different Hotels and Schloss Hotel Kronberg was the utmost BEST. The location is peaceful and beautiful. The staff bends backwards to make you feel comfortable. The rooms are very spacious and have all necessities for comfort. The diningroom is so elegant and their breakfast buffet one of a... More

On June this year we had our wedding reception and party at Schlosshotel Kronberg and we could not have made a better decision. The hotel staff is amazing and the location is superb. We live in New York City and we planned the whole wedding only by emails and phone calls, which is very challenging when you don't have a... More

No early check in (had to wait 1.5 hours and because the hotel is out of Frankfurt, we had to just wait in the lobby - which is beautiful, but still); restaurant closed at 1330!; sub par bar food; bad towels; chaos because of two weddings and conferences; fantastic exterior and common areas; excellent service, but the chaos surrounding the... Booked via "secret escapes" as a surprise for my wife. We started with a visit of the "Feldberg" in the afternoon with a nice view over the "Taunus"-area and turned to the hotel in the early evening. Welcome at the reception was truly outstanding: individual and not over-engaged. We were introduced to the House and its history by a young... More

We stayed here while visiting family on our honeymoon in Kronberg. We were told there was a beautiful schloss in town, and we were thinking it can't be anything like the castles along the Rhine. We got there and were blown away. Its like a living museum. The grounds, the facade, the furnishings, the walls, the chandeliers. It was like... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Schlosshotel Kronberg is located above the picturesque small Taunus town of Kronberg in the middle of an impressive park with 58 h next to a 18-hole golf course. As a hotel nearby Frankfurt this beautiful property is loved in equal measure by businessmen, golfers, gourmets, people who appreciate art and traditional values. Also for weddings and bridal pairs it is the perfect place to be. The Schlosshotel Kronberg, also a Golf resort and castle hotel, is owned by the Landgrave and Princes von Hessen and has since 1954 been a luxury hotel of the first order. Built under commission from Empress Victoria Friedrich and completed in 1893, Schloss Friedrichshof is today one of the most impressive German castles and offers its guests living history to touch and feel. Exclusive furnishings and an impressive collection of antiques and paintings from the private estate of the mother of the last Kaiser convey the authentic ambience of a castle from imperial times. To make your stay even more memorable and comfortable, we have considerably renewed Schlosshotel Kronberg over the last 2 years. For creation and design, the well-known British Interior designer Nina Campbell were appointed, who combines vintage furniture with own designs realising a perfect room and space concept. The newly-created rooms, all equipped with air conditions, decorated in warm colors and with delicate fabrics and floors and immersed in special lighting welcome the guests in a very cordial way. Enjoy the unique historic ambiance and indulge in the luxurious setting of Schlosshotel Kronberg. Our particularly personal service spoils you after an eventful day either in the lobby in front of the fireplace or on the castle terrace on mild summer evenings. Due to the perfect connection to Frankfurt, the fair and the international airport, our hotel is also a very convenient solution for business travelers who benefit from free amenities such as wireless Internet, minibar/bar fridge, shoe polish service, fresh fruit and mineral water in room and daily newspaper. ... more   less
