This is the second time I have stayed at Eco Hotel Uxlabil, I was also there in May 2016 - and that's why I wanted to come back with my wife. The locale is excellent, just a short walk from San Juan La Laguna, a non-touristy, culturally interesting village on the shore of Lago Atitlán. Besides its excellent location with...

The people who are at the hotel are very friendly. The hotel is priced very high for the quality. There is no hot water - (actually, it comes and goes, so if your lucky you will have it). The food is very bland and average and getting to town is a very long hike up a steep hill after a...

While the staff are kind, the rest of the place is a flop - do not stay here if you cannot climb down VERY steep stairs, want hot water, or anything you feel should be included when you pay $75 a night in Guatemala. I am not a picky traveler - I usually stay in dorm-rooms in hostels! I wanted...

If you want a truly unique experience in one of the most beautiful places on the planet, then Hotel Uxlabil on Lake Atitlan is for you. Slightly off the beaten path, yet accessible to all the area has to offer, this hotel is run by a Mayan family who go out of their way to make sure you have an...

This is a rustic, middle of nowhere kind-of-place, with its own jetti for lake taxi's. It is very relaxing. The rooms are spacious, each one extends to the balconies with awe-inspiring views and tremendous sunsets. We did very little while there, just soaked up the chilled vibe. The food is good, you can eat there, service a little slow. There...

Because we were having such an excellent stay in Antigua at Hotel y Galeria Uxlabil, my husband and I decided to spend a couple of days at their sister hotel located in San Juan Laguna on Lake Atitlan. This eco-hotel is outstandingly lovely and peaceful and well worth the money! So happy that this place was suggested to us by...

While travelling and partying for a few weeks in Central America this place was pure bliss to switch off and relax for a night of peace.. So peaceful and the most beautiful views of the lake and volcanos... You could sit all day and just watch the little boats coming in and out..! Beds where so comfortable... Breakfast was delicious..!...

This place is amazing. I arrived in the evening and was a bit scary because all you hear is nature and the lake. But woke up for the sunrise and OMG moment happened, the view is incredible. I am from Guatemala and reside in the states, and this place is better than any 5 star hotel. I enjoyed the people...

We've circumnavigated the entire country and the trip isn't even over yet. But arriving here I knew we'd arrived somewhere good and somewhere special. Have all sorts of plans to hike, visit Solola market etc, but you know what? I think I want to put my feet up, watch the lake and maybe go for a kayak from the pontoon...

Thank you for your valuable review. We're sorry we did not fulfill your expectations. We are growing in sense of our quality and number of guests, probably you visited us on days when there was no major movement, like happens in every hotel. Definitely the hotel is dedicated to people who want to disconnect from everything, it is a very...
