The Remm Akihabara is an excellent business hotel option when you are visiting Tokyo. The hotel is connected to the Akihabara JR station and is a very short walk to the subway line. Remm Hotel rooms are typically small but well appointed and very clean. Their rooms have high-tech room style with excellent internet, lots of electrical outlets, massage chairs...

Located in electronic city of Tokyo as well as next to the train station, this is a great hotel. The rooms are small but that is expected in Tokyo! Massage chair, comfy bed, very quiet building, very clean and with an amazing shower. The location is great with close by transportation, excellent sushi and food as well as safe!

This is a very good hotel and probably the best choice if you are electronic shopper, as it is loacted right next to the Akihabara JR station (Exit Central). The room is tiny but it is the norm for Japanese "business hotels" though there are even smaller rooms. Otherwise, location is perfect with a lot of nightlife too, and the...

In an effort of placate my son, I decided to choose a hotel in Akihabara, and this was it. This is a cool hotel with a sleek, smooth aesthetic. We initially booked a double room, and it was simply too small. Lots of other reviews say, "it's Tokyo, it's going to be small, deal with it!" but this room for...

I've stayed 4 times on business in the past year, each for 3-4 nights. The REMM fits my needs perfectly. Location as others mentioned is ideal for most & especially for me; our head office is only a 5 min walk across the river which avoids the commuter train crush. Airport access is also great, 45 min from Narita T2...

The best part about this hotel is the location. The hotel entrance is literally steps away from the Akihabara JR entrance. The hotel is surrounded by many restaurants, shops and right in the heart of Akihabara. The room was very clean and well equipped but very small. We left our big suitcases at the airport in a coin operated locker...

If you have one day to spare in Tokyo this an excellent option. Is located in a very interesting neighborhood and is the first worthy place to stop if you come by train from Narita Airport. Rooms are small but well equipped and tidy.

I'll start out with the positives. The hotel has new/updated rooms and the location is just steps from the Akihabara station. Price for such a location was also good. That is about where the positives stop for me. The location is good, but not fantastic. It's NOT the Akihabara Electric town exit of the station, so there isn't as much...

The location of hotel is superb as it's just next to Akihabara JR station and with shopping around the hotel. Uniqlo and Muji shops are just next door. Reception is at level 6. Breakfast is at a restaurant at level 2 with 3 different set breakfast to choose from (western soup/jap curry). Room is small with hardly space for luggages...

Staying in Ochanomizu / Akihabara / Kanda

Neighbourhood Profile
Ochanomizu / Akihabara / Kanda
Ochanomizu boasts its academic foundations starting with Yushima Seido, the birthplace of modern day Japanese education. The area has kept its college town feel with several university campuses. If you head towards Jinbocho, you'll find musical instrument and sports equipment shops, and an area of used bookstores for students and anyone interested in literature and the arts. Akihabara is well-known for its computer and electronic goods stores, and is now hugely popular as the must-visit mecca for people interested in anime and games. Kanda is an office district where you can find loads of reasonably priced izakayas popular with professionals who stop to eat and drink before making their way home.
