I will second previous postings that the rooms are on the small side. Very tight. No room for luggages. From what I heard, all hotel rooms in Japan are small. Here's the review.... Location - right off the JR Yamanote Line. From the airport, you can take the Keisei Liner to Nippori or Ueno and transfer to the Yamanote line...

This place was a great business hotel right next to the train station and a couple of malls/eateries. They were happy to hold my luggage for a few hours before I checked in and they stuck me on a "women only" floor. Not that I needed to be, but I thought it was nice that they were considerate like that....

The remm is a good hotel. Reception staff were always friendly and doing their best to help. I always woke to late for breakfast so can't comment on that. The room, although small, has everything you need. The shower is good and there is even an electric massage chair! Not much space if you have a lot of luggage. The...

Really slick and modern hotel right next to the train station. Even though the room is tiny, it's design is super sleek, and I had an awesome view of Akihabara electric town. I could see the buzz of trains and people directly below on the Akihabara station platform. The massage chair in the room was an awesome perk after taking...

Nice hotel located just across from Akihabara Station. Rooms are small ... but very tidy and very clean. The staff are excellent, very attentive and very helpful with any inquiries. Would recommend for short stay.... Right near the heart of the electric town so good for shopping.

Best thing about Remm Akihabara is, as it is mentioned in previous comments, its perfect location. That makes the hotel suitable for both business and leisure travelers. On the other hand, we have been there on our anniversary but the hotel didn't provide any treats and they kindly pointed out that it is mainly a business hotel. There was a...

Remm is a new hotel situated just above Akihabara station. In terms of location, it is hard to beat. It is situated right above the station, which is on the convenient JR Yamanote line. I stayed on the 'ladies floor' which included aroma therapy dispensers, free English language newspaper each morning, massage chair and cotton pyjamas. The room itself had...

I stayed here for 10 days last year and couldn't have been happier! This hotel has the best location of any I've stayed in. It is literally on top of Akihabara station. All you have to do is turn left out of the door and 5mins later you can be on your way to anywhere in the country. The staff...

The hotel is literally a 1-minute-walk from JR Akihabara Station. They made a nice job in soundproofing. In room 1517 I’ve heard no railway noise, or in fact barely any kind of noise at all. The only negative I could think of is the small size of the room. But this was something I knew at time of reservation and...

This hotel is so conveniently located that I never took a taxi during the four nights I stayed here. I was simply able to get on the Marunouchi line or any other subway and go about the city from there faster than almost any other way (and for much less $$$). Several dining and entertainment places are available around the...

Staying in Ochanomizu / Akihabara / Kanda

Neighbourhood Profile
Ochanomizu / Akihabara / Kanda
Ochanomizu boasts its academic foundations starting with Yushima Seido, the birthplace of modern day Japanese education. The area has kept its college town feel with several university campuses. If you head towards Jinbocho, you'll find musical instrument and sports equipment shops, and an area of used bookstores for students and anyone interested in literature and the arts. Akihabara is well-known for its computer and electronic goods stores, and is now hugely popular as the must-visit mecca for people interested in anime and games. Kanda is an office district where you can find loads of reasonably priced izakayas popular with professionals who stop to eat and drink before making their way home.
