Kanda, Akihabara, Ochanomizu
Ochanomizu boasts its academic foundations starting with Yushima Seido, the birthplace of modern day Japanese education. The area has kept its college town feel with several university campuses. If you head towards Jinbocho, you'll find musical instrument and sports equipment shops, and an area of used bookstores for students and anyone interested in literature and the arts. Akihabara is well-known for its computer and electronic goods stores, and is now hugely popular as the must-visit mecca for people interested in anime and games. Kanda is an office district where you can find loads of reasonably priced izakayas popular with professionals who stop to eat and drink before making their way home.

Close to Siudobashi station for JR train and Tokyo Metro access. Very comfortable rooms and staff have a good command of English language. Bathroom toiletries are beautiful. My wife the hairdryer was great for all you ladies. Good local restaurants that are plentiful and cheap.

This hotel was a quiet oasis while we stayed for a few nights in Tokyo at the end of a snow trip. It's stumbling distance to a railway station - suidobashi - meaning you can get anywhere else in Tokyo quick smart. We loved this hotel, staff were very friendly and helpful. Our

Another option is to take the train system (which is excellent). I took the JR Narita Express train from the airport terminal to the Tokyo Station, then transferred to the Yamanote line to the Akihabara station ( 2 stops away). From there I transferred to the Chuo line and got off at the Suidobashi station (2 stops away). It’s a very short walk from there to the Hotel Niwa.

"hollywood and superior twin are the same with the beds pushed together or not. You can move beds yourself and price is often different"
"Higher rooms have better views but hotel is close to two train lines, still I am a light sleeper and found the noise level acceptable."
"All bedrooms seemed on fairly quiet areas but sure that you would have no problems changing if you were not happy"
"If you need more space then an upgrade to a premium room is good value"
"All rooms are quiet"
